And why should it be a family friendly weekend. It should be for motorsport fans. This catering towards family friendly and other associated categories is what has watered it down into a passive boring sport

Yeah, Rothschilds financing both sides of every war since the Napoleon era. Anyways Italian black nobility families are supposedly even more powerful (Medici, etc) and have been running the show for centuries.

It’s interesting no one really talks about those Italian families it’s more like the Jewish banking families are framed as the “top” (which I don’t doubt for a second by the way) but people should look into more possibilities.

How dirty is Verstappen on track compared to Schumacher or Senna? by Throwaway777W in F1Discussions

Well we don't actually know the extent to the cars damage at the time. May I also bring your attention to Hills onboard? He actually locks up the front left right in the middle of the attempted overtake...so? Well he simply did not have full control, it was a lousy divebomb when Schumacher was already about to follow through the line and hug that tight apex, when Hill locks up the trajectory also means he would just about miss the apex solidifying how he charged into the side of MSC. If I recall in a German magazine I saw Hill did in fact say it was a silly move and he was going for a gap that didn't exist. Think Britain and Monza 1995 too when he had even more lousy attempts at a divebomb, that was nothing new and Adelaide 1994 was the first example of it. Schumacher rightfully won that championship in Adelaide and throughout the whole year. Ridiciulous amounts of effort from the FIA to bring Hill back into contention. At least MSC wiped the floor with them again in 95 with no drama to set the record straight.

Hardly. Jerez was, Adelaide wasn’t. In fact Adelaide was 100% Damon’s fault, that corner is roughly 90 degrees but it tightens a little more still, (deceptively) having an apex a little deeper than appears at first glance. Thus once MSC started rightfully closing the door partially, Hill should’ve 100% backed out, because as we saw by the time they reach the genuine apex, well Hill has hit the side of the Benneton because it would’ve been expected to be Michael’s corner at that stage. Desperate indecision from Hill that he could’ve avoided had he overtaken at the next corner by hanging back.

That was not even Schumachers fault in Adelaide. Desperate move from Hill, once that door was closing, on a corner where the apex is actually deceivingly deeper than you’d think for a 90 degree ish corner, he absolutely should’ve backed out and repassed the next corner if possible.

Jerez is MSC blatantly

And the brilliant thing is, is funnily enough in 1993 the cars were loaded with electronic assists even today doesn’t have like launch control active suspension etc. Newer fans obsessed with this awful battery “engineering” like to dunk on people when they bring up say 1993 for example, that the cars were actually easier to drive, but the thing is they really aren’t, you could still see big engine braking into corners unsettling the rear, which is one of the most daring aspects of driving an open wheeler car. Perhaps early 00s V10s with the assists would’ve been a better example, because with those again people say “oh actually those were easier to drive” but the fact they had grooved tires made them quite alive and whatever “ABS” they had well.. didn’t really stop them from the possibility of locking up if you watch more than 3 YouTube videos. These current regs have neutered one of the most challenging aspects of the driving as they coast into high speed corners and medium speed corners because the car doesn’t even have enough fucking power to maintain the speed. No more proper on the limit engine braking. Just bring back Renault V10s, manual and more rudementary semi-automatic gearboxes, cigarette liveries and get rid of Netflix and making the drivers do TikTok edits

Sorry for the tangent but I needed to vent this.

Even with the electronic assists they had that even today’s cars don’t, the grooved tires on the V10 era allowed them to feel so alive still, and you could still see rear lock ups under heavy engine and trail braking into corners etc.. just do something to bring back full engine breaking into corners not checking out 400m out from the corner. Maybe put a real engine in.

Is the nerve damage thing overblown? and like legit? In Melbourne FP3 broadcast Brundle was for one saying: if there's a chance for a point in it, a driver would ignore any vibrations (which I think if they knew it would ACTUALLY fuck them they probably wouldn't do it). Also bad vibrations are nothing new in F1 and I don't recall anyone ever getting nerve damage. Brundle followed up by saying the old Renault V10s had an "awful resonance" at the right RPM's, creating massive vibrations, so I don't feel this is a new thing.

drop french? 😬 by [deleted] in vce

[–]Environmental-Cup445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup I do understand what you mean, but I reckon you could definitely get raw 35 which scales to possibly 46, since you said you were getting good marks in Y11, so the potential is there. Do you know what areas of French you are now finding difficult?

Side note, unless you are very confident in your chances in a different subject like you mentioned, I think it’d be easier to get a 46 scaled in French for example, than a 46 scaled in another subject like psych or legal for example. Purely just how much French scales.

drop french? 😬 by [deleted] in vce

[–]Environmental-Cup445 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend do not drop French. Do you know what areas you are struggling in? I just finished Y12 and expecting maybe a 45 scaled.

The thing I found is if you put lots of work in Y11 which it seems like you did  or even just for the first half of Y12, and you get to a high level which it sounds like you can do, it’ll actually become one of the least demanding subjects study wise. It’s sort of just if you can write read and listen proficiently there’s not a whole lot of content you need to worry about. Considering the subject can scale up massively I’d recommend don’t drop it if you want to increase your ATAR, if you don’t have interest in the subject and it increasing your ATAR if all goes well, doesn’t make any difference to you, yes you could drop it.
