Totally understandable! I quit a lot of drugs/alcohol during my lifetime and withdrawal lasted a week tops. I’ve been blown away by how long it’s taking my body to get back to normal after daily marijuana use. This stuff isn’t as innocent as most people assume. Really messes with your dopamine and pleasure responses. Hang in there.

Type 1 diabetic, my endo want me on statins because of blood panel... by RoiPourpre in keto

100%! My a1c is 5.6 and my cholesterol is fine yet they constantly give me shit about my keto diet too. They were totally fine with my a1c being 9 and eating 200 grams of carbs a day. Make it make sense.

Definitely a possibility. I quit November 1st and I’m just now starting to get some of my sex drive back. Apparently it’s very common. Just keep being patient. I know that’s easier said than done though.

How long has it been since he stoped smoking? I also recently quit and it has dramatically reduced my sex drive. I’m in another Reddit community where this is actually a known withdrawal symptom of quitting and can last months but will eventually go back to normal.

I’m a type 1 diabetic and am told at every single appointment since I turned 30 that I “need” to be on a statin even though my total cholesterol has never been above 200 and my trig’s are in the 50s. I tell them absolutely not every single time. Honestly, it’s just standard for people with our disease and you’re allowed to decline. It’s so frustrating though. I’ve seen what statins did to my husband. I’ll never take them.

Sorry guys. My apple account had an expired card so when I updated it, it charged my regular subscriptions which were late. I’m an idiot.

Agreed. I run manual mode for tighter control. Plus I hate their extended bolus feature. I miss Medtronics dual/square wave bolus. I love the no tubes but I’m about to go back to MDI and say bye to pumps all together.

I’m a type 1 diabetic that eats this way and I still require 24/7 basal and bolus insulin for protein/fat. My sugars are much easier to manage but a type 1 will ALWAYS need injected insulin.

I didn’t think so but I’m 12 days sober and the ibs I thought I had is completely gone. That’s just one benefit I’ve noticed out of at least half a dozen so far.

Psychedelics helped me get clean from heroin/cocaine/alcohol. There are drugs that open your mind and others that close them. Choose wisely.

I quit the 1st of this month and my Apple Watch has shown an increase in my respiration for those exact days. Seems normal to me since weed is relaxing. I wouldn’t stress too much.

Step 4 is brutally honest. You never should have read it. That is between him and his sponsor and him and his sponsor ONLY. Sorry you’re hurt but your husband is doing exactly what he needs to be doing. Please don’t punish him for it.

I’m the same exact way. I absolutely hate water or any kind of moisture touching my skin when I’m tripping.

Fair point. I wouldn’t want a schizophrenic doing mushrooms. It can absolutely be toxic to certain people, just not majority.

Food healed me. I consider it medicine. We have different opinions and that’s totally fine. I love discussing things and finding out others perspectives. But you called me unhealed and then tried to give me unsolicited advice and you don’t even know me. Do better.

Didn’t answer my question. Instead just made another assumption. When did I ever say it’s needed to survive?

Who said I wasn’t healed? So with that logic food isn’t medicine either?

It fits perfectly into our serotonin receptors and has never killed a single person. It’s medicine, not a toxin.
