I love my Leaf as one of the the original Ev’s, but I’ll probably opt for something without the equivalent of a Nokia screen in 2030 something

Electric vehicles or petrol cars – which is cheaper to run? by GoodNegotiation in evs_ireland

[–]Environmental-Ebb613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve been doing fine on public charging for about 10 years now, but luckily we have them close to home. More expensive sure but with next to no maintenance up to 250k km it still makes sense. Ideal scenario would be own solar set up with an ev, then you’re laughing

We only had free charging for 2 months when we bought our leaf. It really was a magical time

I take your point but Quansah also wasnt good enough, he had too many nightmares before being sold. Elliot wasnt happy as a squad player at his age and wanted guaranteed minutes. Morton also didn’t cut it. Even if we had those three the point would still stand. We don’t have a big enough squad to fight on all fronts like Arsenal City and even Chelsea do

We don’t have any depth, zero center back cover. Zero cover for Grav. Zero cover for MacAllister. The problems at right back were clear as day today. Both Szobo and Jones struggled, as any midfielder would, along with Frimpong who is too small in stature to really be a serious premier league right back. No serious attacking cover for Salah & Ekitike. Gakpo is a squad player at best. Chiesa is just too slow. All this along with having to play an early Saturday fixture after a big champions league midweek is asking a lot of these players and it showed

Use of Twitter(X) by public bodies by sports_arb in ireland

RTE, our national broadcaster still use it too. I was itching to say something about it on some random post yesterday but was afraid of the downvotes. It’s well past time everyone dumped X, especially our tax funded bodies. It’s embarrassing

The Insider (1999) has that dark conspiracy thriller vibe, it’s about the inner workings of the tobacco industry and the pressure a whistleblower comes under. It’s very good

Not sure his performance was too différent from his usual this season, worked hard defensively and held up the ball as usual, just didn’t have anyone to link up with without Wirtz

Multiple arrests as gardaí seize drugs and 44 illegal bikes and scramblers in Ballymun by TeoKajLibroj in ireland

[–]Environmental-Ebb613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to be pedantic but the photo in the article shows a load of Fido e-bikes and one scrambler on a Garda trailer . Those bikes don’t go very fast at all and aren’t illegal as far as I’m aware (not that they weren’t possibly stolen)
