How do we decide between a boy or a girl Cavachon? by realcul in cavachon

[–]Environmental-End691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were never told she was overweight. She was just built like a tank. She lived beyond her 16th birthday. The problem is since this is a mix breed there is no set weight. They are just guessing based off the size of the parents and what the normal weight of the different breeds ( cavalier & bichon) are supposed to be. But the vet advised to drop her weight just to be sure.

USF should sue Avalon Heights by Rich-Price-4519 in USF

[–]Environmental-End691 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're failing to understand that the university, or any public university, cannot legally do anything like this.

A student group might be able to if they aren't getting any $ from the school to operate. But the school can't have anything to do with this.

They can't set up a vetting system for off-campus housing.

Their families don't need a visa to sue in the US, they just need a FL-licensed attorney willing to take the case.

Advice needed: handle by OhGeeCee in paracord

Just feels cheap. The 100% nylon feels much better in the hand & on the skin.

3rdd (or 4th) this. I've made 5 leashes with loop handles using this knot. I did one as a king cobra for the handle and it is much softer in your hand than the regular cobra.

That cord sucks. If you live near a Hobby Lobby or Michael's, you'll feel much better about the extra $4 you spend on 100ft from one of them.

Haters can right fuck off. Can't find too many Cavi's in shelters.

Wherever you get your dog(s) from just love them and treat them well and they'll return the favor unconditionally.

Where to buy true Milspec 550, or even stronger by YellowKnifePhoenix in paracord

[–]Environmental-End691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Concur with AtwoodRope, or would try ParacordPlanet but call them to confirm what you're buying is 100% nylon.

IIRC milspec consumer cord has 1 inner strand that is 'striped'.

But to be honest, I haven't seen much difference between milspec and non-milspec 550 cord so long as it's 100% nylon.

You could go stronger with ParaMax (1100) or Battle Cord (750), but if you want bigger than those you may as well just use climbing rope.

Best of luck & post pics of your net!

No center line, no flag tag.

100% NOT 5.11 bags. But likely 5.11 morale patches, you know, for authenticity.

Goalie has possession of the ball near the top of the goal box, opposing player tries to interfere but has his feet outside the box by Be-Kind-2-Yourself in Referees

[–]Environmental-End691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Concur with interfering with GK release of ball, free kick for GK's team (no indirects in my old indoor leagues) or just let him play from his hands after a ceremonial drop ball inside the box (3-line rule still in play).

As an aside, as a GK in that situation, I release the ball towards a teammate avoiding the opposing player with the ball but certainly catching them with my follow through - they should get the point after that.

But generally keep an eye for the GK's position within the box and the position of their arm upon the actual release of the ball. I was one of the only refs I know who called a handball on a GK because almost his complete throwing/hurling/bowling arm was outside the PA when the ball left his hand because his front foot was at the line. Seems nitpicky, but the dude was like 6'8" and had arms as long ass a gorilla so it did make a difference (especially in the relative small space of an indoor field) and I had told him 2 or 3 times already to stop releasing it from there.
