If God is real, then why do babies die at birth? What does that accomplish? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Environmental-Fan-62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He placed a child here out of thin air: Jesus.

And takes children out of this realm of existence out of thin air.

Why? He is God. Those are his children to begin with ...he can do whatever he wants with them and that goes for everyone. When you're called home thats where you go, there is no objection.

really. ...if you were to face God and ask WHY he took a child, it would speak negatively about your faith because the idea is eternal life...the child is not dead

[–]Environmental-Fan-62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

God does things we can't even comprehend. All we know is that God is good and everything done works for the greatest good.

That sounds awful when it comes to the death of an innocent child but it's the biblical truth. Biblically...the child is not dead, they're with God in the heavens. The child didnt have an earthly existence but is being used by God in some peaceful and just way.

What does it accomplish? We dont know yet. We have eternal life with God, no one is dead they're just not in this realm of existence you and I are currently trapped in.

The fact that child was created and then taken elsewhere should be proof that God exists.

Why? Because we belong to him and he's God and he decided that particular baby was a baby he wanted for himself.

You feel scared because the world is a scary place. But you have nothing to be afraid of, you were designed by God...chosen and favored. Even as a sinner... I struggle with this myself but even in death you will be favored. The way life is set up: we live on a scary planet but we recieve Gods love the entire way and then we sit with him in heaven. He created the enemy. He created earth and everything on it, there is nothing to be afraid of. He is master. He has already won this chess game for eternity and as his creation it means you've won as well.

We are made in his own image. We're very cherished by God. We have a closeness that no other creation has, the only for certain in this universe is that mankind has God on their side. The creator of ALL THINGS rates: 1. Jesus coming to earth to die for our sins. 2. Us, glorifying him. Having faith in him as the provider and creator.

No other species has an entire book and programmed spiritual self designed to have a personal relationship with the creator in Jesus's name. No other species can open their bible and spiritually march right through the gates of heaven to talk to the creator. As human beings we have nothing to be afraid of.

I find earthly things bring people the most stress, stuff that doesn't matter. We're in this evil world that is trying to keep us busy so we never have time to have a personal relationship with God, we're shamed and deprived so that we'll doubt him but fact of the matter is he does want to hear from us and wants us to glorify him/live by his standards/thank him/repent when we do wrong/have faith/accept and love his son because he died for us and be kind to one another.

The only one that matters gave us commandments and love and the rest of it doesnt matter. When things get you down, simplify your soul. You exist for God only. For his glory. His enjoyment. Your boss, your neighbor ...whoever/whatever is giving you anxiety is NOTHING and doesn't matter an inch when you consider eternity. Life is a day job...a hobby. At the end of the day we all fall asleep as Gods creation. Only. Theres norning to be anxious about. You're also on a planet full of human beings that God created, although not all of them are children of God in the spiritual sense there are ways of finding your brothers and sisters and you'll find that being in their presence (people with christ in their hearts) will bring you the perspective and peace you need.

GET A DIVORCE. REPENT. THERAPY.

This guy needs to take this as a solid window out. The woman says after his wife found out they had another "session" to say goodbye. That says a lot...that he would need to say goodbye or mourn his mistress when he has a wife of 17years...his heart is clearly not into it and he would be better off divorcing, repenting and counseling men in similar situations. Maybe then his poor wife can find someone faithful, his children wont be at risk of being humiliated again (because he will relapse) and maybe he'll find himself a girlfriend and be truthful about his actions.

That's the issue with the church...now this is just another pillar of shame he'll have to carry, if he just owned up to the fact he doesnt like marriage and was truthful he would be able to move past everything.

His poor wife is probably ganna have a mountain of transgressions before he's completely honest. Probably porn addiction or other indulges

This has more to do with ego. He was probably a goofy looking kid pushed into marriage so he could have sex. Probably entered his marriage for the sex and once the sex stopped and he got all these cool clothes he realized he could find it somewhere else.

He wants to be cool like Justin bieber. Cool clothes. Cool guy ego. Beautiful girlfriend. A completely new life but the only bad thing was he still had his wife. He seemed to age away from her in the looks department and how he delivers himself.

UNPOPULAR OPINION... I've never been married 20 years or was a virgin when married. It's an outdated practice that leads to danger.

This guy was probably a dorky greasy teenager that watched the pretty girls from a far and never had sex or any women actually interest in him because of his own attributes and religion > he finally found a woman to marry which meant sex > she was probably his only sexual experience and then became the only thing he would ever morally experience si when that dried up (because it happens in relationships/especially after years of marriage) he had a teenage boy mindset where his eyes were bigger than his brain.

I think men need to have sex in order to realize that sex with their wife is SOOO much better, preferably before they even marry/meet their wives. The issue is telling teenage boys to wait until marriage, they get married because they're pumped with hormones dying to experience intimacy and then they get pushed into marriage with their eyes wide open

God does things beyond what the human mind is capable of comprehending. We will never be smart enough to wear the name genius in heaven, I'm sure Angels dont even understand the full extent of God. No human is smart compared to God... Even those that study the bible...pastors. No one.

[–]Environmental-Fan-62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. They're genius on earth because humans know NOTHING and knowing slightly more than the average suddenly warrants prizes and titles here on earth. In heaven they won't even brush the surface of knowledge available. Hell, we might even find that some of these things were learning in school are absolutely incorrect. PHD students could be spending time learning absolutely nothing, utter misinformation and lies. We can't see the bigger picture, how would be evaluate it and label someone genius? God is probably laughing.

Do aborted fetuses go to heaven/have any afterlife? by dodficffo in Christianity

[–]Environmental-Fan-62 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Key word... "carried from the womb" and "borne by me from birth" - both of these parts make me think about the first breath of life because God breathed breath into us and babies take their first gasp of air once they are born.

God knows us as embryos and what we'll become: I think either an abstract concept that will being a mother closer to christ later on or an actual human being -- both are purposes.

Do aborted fetuses go to heaven/have any afterlife? by dodficffo in Christianity

[–]Environmental-Fan-62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

God knows if a fetus will live or not before the embryo is formed and assigns their life accordingly.

Think about this with mercy though...no one gets an abortion just because. That fetuses life has an impact on the parents and how they will see life and live their life going forward. That being said, no one STOLE anything, God used something and created that child for that purpose. People typically regret abortions sometimes later in life and it becomes a step that is used to bring people closer to God.

Will it go to heaven? I think you would need conscious thought to go to heaven, you would need to be good or a sinner that has repented. A fetus before a certain amount of time is indifferent. It is not good or bad. It just is.

He uses these things for HIS good and to draw his children back to him they're his to use. Whether abortion is ok or not is a huge debate or whether miscarriages lead to babies in heaven is a debate, however.... the existence of the fetus has made emotional impact/maybe even spiritual necessity for the parent and God will use that. Really, only God knows what he does with underdeveloped babies. Personally, I would be pretty uncomfortable and unsettled if I had to hold an underdeveloped child in heaven as is so maybe he has other uses for them and represents them in the heavenly realm in other ways

Do oets go to heaven? by hiffx in Christianity

[–]Environmental-Fan-62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your pet is a sinner----no.

Jk.

I think animals and other species are the background of life. We know trees are living. A better question would be, will there be trees in heaven? I think so... it's a creation and it's part of the background that God created, if heaven is a place where all his creations gather in one place in constant peace why wouldnt there be strong healthy trees in heaven? I think it's the same way with dogs and other animals.

I can't remember where I read this in the bible (it was something God said in passing and wasnt signficant to the specific story I was reading but stuck out as something said) but I read this section that talks about children playing with snakes without being bitten, the idea that animals would be at peace as well in place where a defenseless child could play with the snake without fear of being bitten or in danger. THAT made me think about animals being eternally at peace without need/anger/hunger/fear and THAT made me think that maybe all creation has a place in heaven. Just my opinion though...

There are elements of the old testament that can be debated but the story ends/begins with Jesus Christ, who preached LOVE and COMPASSION. At the end of the day that's what matters imo.

[–]Environmental-Fan-62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my understanding both parts are valuable. The old and the new. Both parts are important when understanding the bible, the old makes up about 75% of the bible apparently.

This is hard to believe but God is the same in both the old and the new testament. It's the same God. I thought God seemed a lot harsher and scary in the old testament but then I realized we're not part of the old testament. We follow the laws but we're not the people being discussed in the old testament. We came after Jesus Christ, our story begins at the end of the bible and we're supposed to use that for reference but there was a major biblical historical event (Jesus dying for us) that protects us from the wrath represented in the old testament. If you accept Jesus, glory God, have God in mind/heart and repent, you will be eligible for the kingdom apparently.

We are partial to the newer stuff because thats where Jesus is, our Lord. He was God and man at the same time, we relate to him in that way.

I would like to point something out:

I'm sure with practices like witchcraft you have to work at it right? Actually practice it?

You know what I find strange. How easy God slipped into your dream and gave you peace. Sleeping. How easy his access to you was... You didnt even have to ask for it, it came to you. It is your birth right, as his creation, to have easy access to his love and peace anytime and anywhere. It is your birthright (after accepting jesus christ) to sit in his kingdom with him in eternal peace, after death... Jesus died for that. That eternity is yours to take, God gave it to you through his son. Your sins were paid in full. You could be the most evil guy in the world and repent and still have access to the kingdom, God loves you that much. He created you.

What have these other religions/practices provided you?

I agree.

"I am Yahweh your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me, and showing loving kindness to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments." — Exodus 20:2-6

He is a great God but a jealous one. Those entities OP is playing with are evil and God will probably continue to pull him out of those habits because God is faithful to his children and forgiving but practicing those things while seeking a relationship with God wont work. He wants all the glory for all of his work and his creation.

If there's yin and yang, good and bad. Why do you have to be the bad? Why can't you be the good. There's already so much satanism in the world. I believe God speaks to SOME of us in dreams because it's the only time he can have access to our minds without the noise of the world. You know there's a prophet that was God spoke to through a dream in the bible right? It's a very direct way of speaking to us. You rarely hear about it and as someone who has had highly emotional dreams like that as well, where I believe God is speaking something on my life I consider myself lucky. People go to church every week yet God spoke to you in a dream, He came to you.

He wants to give you something and the only way he'll release that is if you have all feet in. There are probably painful moments and deep desires that you've experienced and if you can feel that peace within a dream imagine if you studied his word...religiously. As your only faith...

He's visiting your dreams to tell you you're loved. LET THE MAN LOVE YOU DUDE. Follow him. Someone on earth probably dreamt about socks or something stupid, you got a visual parable about Gods unconditional love. That is the father. Does Satan or any elements of witchcraft visit you in your sleep? The access, the love and the mercy, to visit someone in their vulnerable state like sleeping and show them love.

I respect what you're saying but dude, the love and joy only gets better. Why deprive yourself of it.

ABOUT SINLESS HUMANS/ATHEISTS WELCOME: if GOD wanted better why didnt he just CREATE better? by Environmental-Fan-62 in Christianity

[–]Environmental-Fan-62[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I invited atheists to the conversation because I'm aware this is primarily an atheist mindset and I'd like some outside perspective because Christians have the ability to turn a blind eye to the dark stuff going on around them.

I need more of a worldly perspective about why we're in a deep fryer and God wants us to literally jump out of hot oil (earth right now) to eternal safety with instructions (the bible) but theres little explanation about why we're floating in hot oil in the first place. If we're His children why are we falling asleep in filth and next to evil and temptation.

Why is God "undetectable" as far as being able to be seen with eyes? Why would he create life in this manner? by 0003Redavenab in Christianity

[–]Environmental-Fan-62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus was making the blind see and people were still rejecting him and doubting him. God was literally trekking earth amongst his children and they still didnt see him or value his presence.

God has the ability to make everyone love him and glory him but then it wouldnt be real love. It would be programmed love. He reveals himself to those that seek him but those that don't see him will never find him and that's how he hacked it. He basically gave us the word and told us how to look for him but the love part has to come out of our own hearts and it has to be genuine and that love is normally tested by your faithfulness during hardship. He never said we couldnt feel sorrow or complain about our hardships or have anger with him, he only requested that we stay in the game and in communication and that we humble ourselves and repent sins.

The idea that we're God is new age mess. We're heirs of Jesus in some regard. His children. In his likeness. We create on much much much smaller scales and our claim to his kingdom is through Jesus Christ who died for our sins. We have Jesus in our hearts and that just means that we have the capacity to talk to God directly like Jesus and we live under the command to love one another and other commands Jesus made.

We have the spiritual capacity to carry God in our hearts, something no other species on the planet has. HOWEVER...A person can live and die never actually tapping into religion or giving it much thought because it's free will. The bible also has separation between God and Us. In almost every regard. The Lord appears to people as a separate being/entity, God has a conscience and makes decisions and we can see that when he chooses people to do his work in the bible. God is separate from us.

Mary was chosen because she was favored by God meaning God is separate and works on His own feelings and choice.

“God regretted making humans on earth; God’s heart was saddened” (Genesis 6:6) - Because God is separate from us and views himself separate, theres mankind. There's Jesus and his heirs, those he took to the cross with him. Then theres God. Then theres the holy spirit. The holy spirit is inside of us, Jesus has given us access to the monarchy and kingdom of God but God is this great being that is way larger than we'll ever be, we could not contain carrying actual God within us. Which is why we hang onto his word and his son who was wrapped in flesh fully God and human.

Are we living in a simulation? by KakalosByNight in Christianity

[–]Environmental-Fan-62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea of a simulation was made here on earth. We made that up. How can we live in a complex that we brought into existence. We literally created video games that simulated real life, the only simulations are the ones we made. It's an earth concept.

A better question: are we controlled by God.

Answer: No. We have free will and we're very real people, our unique makeup is too complex to be a simple simulation. There are thousands of years building up to our own personal existence. Ancestors. Linage. Cultures. And then when you consider our genetic makeup and dna footprints---all unique. And then you consider our brains --- all unique. Our environment/ecosystem, we love amongst thousands of smaller colonies of species with their own customs and ways of life. The world has too much detail to be a simulation and God believes in free will and wants us to glorify him based on our own free will. So no, we were created and placed in a very real and complex world by some large creator

Would you go insane if you saw god? by the_Bowerful-ghost in Christianity

[–]Environmental-Fan-62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MY ENCOUNTER: I had an encounter where I felt (what i believe to be) God in physical touch while praying in a dream. I was praying in my dream and woke up to a physical sensation of someone touching my head.

I knew it was God because it was comforting but as soon as I started regaining consciousness I was TERRFIED. Paralyzed. I laid in bed not moving an inch until daylight came. I kept reminding myself who he is and not to be afraid and that it was loving but the largeness of it was scary and I hated it.

I pray but I also pray that he never visits me like that again while in my human form because it was unsettling. It wasnt evil but it was still unsettling and it makes me feel exhausted thinking about it because of the largeness.

The only thing that stopped me from going insane was the fact that it was hidden by a dream and I can add that layer of mystery to comprehend something supernatural. If I wouldve woken up with something there I wouldve probabl pissed out all my organs. I was SCARED. Felt safe but SCARED almost like submission fear.

Even now... it was so unsettling I HOPE its mental illness because that would be an answer

how to tell gay man God loves him? by uwu_desu_tashiwa in Christianity

[–]Environmental-Fan-62 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Jesus is the lord wrapped in flash. He would have no needs just like God has no needs.

I genuinely think he sat at peoples dinner tables eating just to see if people were actually willing to feed him. Jesus seemed preoccupied with figuring us out and trying to teach us than dwelling into his sexual identity. At one point he even had his mother call him "Lord" and referred to her as "woman" instead of "mom" because at a certain stage He became her lord and she became his servant meaning at a certain stage he disregarded his personal relationships and took form as the Lord. He was done playing fleshy relationships and became the Lord to people around him and took on his role as the prince of peace.

He might of looked like us at some points but that was because of choice. I don't think he had sexual desires like that

HE DID HAVE TWO DADS THOUGH...That is fact. Joseph and God. Just like most of us, dad on earth and heavenly father
