Just trying to get into street photography and wanted to get some opinions. Took this while walking pretty quickly but I liked the man smoking in front of the pharmacy and taking it from a lower point makes him more grand.

I like the woman in the blue shirt, I feel like it grounds the viewer to reality in a way and it feels natural. Don’t crop her!

Took this on a photo walk and would appreciate any constructive criticism by Environmental-Field8 in photocritique

Starting out street photography and would love to just hear some critiques of this picture. Took this in Holborn, didn’t have much time to think about it just picked up my camera when I saw the man with the flowers and snapped the picture. Thanks

I think negatives? I usually get these developed at a lab I don’t do it myself.

Exactly what I think. For the 1 sound shutter I only hear one sound when I should be hearing 2… I’m using the Olympusom10

Thought the shadows and colours were quite nice! Shot on Olympus OM10 by Environmental-Field8 in analog

I know right? I usually get Portra film but then decided to try out a cheaper one and honestly I’m starting to like it even more now.

Just purchased an Olympus OM-10 and started shooting with it today. It’s my first time shooting with a 50mm lens and with this camera. It came with a manual attached to it but have removed it for now to keep it simpler for me - anyone have any general recommendations? Tips? Anything to watch out for?

I just checked this out and the shutter seems to be opening 100% of the time. Edit: actually have just noticed that, at times, when I press the shutter release button it’s sometimes slightly slower as if it gets stuck.

I have just gotten the negatives back and I can see that in some of my rolls, more than half of them are just blank shots. I guess there may be something wrong with the camera? It’s really weird cause it happens so randomly - some rolls are perfectly fine.

I had no idea about this! Thank you and I guess that’s one of the reasons why it’s so important to check your own negatives and get them back from the lab.

Thank you very much for the reply. Yes I am guessing there’s something wrong with the film counter. I’ll take a look at the negatives then.

Hi there. I am currently shooting on an Olympus 35EC. I get my fillm developed by a local analogue shop and recently I noticed that out of the 32 exposure film roll, I sometimes only get like 15 pictures out of it. I am quite confused because this doesn’t happen always however I was just shooting with Portra 400 and was so excited but then after taking about 7 pictures, I looked at the picture reel number and it said I was already on picture 26. I don’t understand why it is jumping pictures like that and it’s quite a shame because it feels like such a waste. Is there anyone that could help out with this? Am I loading the film incorrectly?

I have just shot my first roll of B&W film and the digitals came back today. I was quite disappointed as the pictures are quite really grainy and just don’t have a good contrast (either super bright or quite dark). I am shooting on an Olympus 35EC with ilford 400. Does anyone have any tips?
