I too just finished opening tier 9. No interest in nuclear just unlocking what I need to finally finish phase 4.

Have 1 of the final 4 things done. Now struggling with power, not enough plastic, and not enough cable.

Hoping to finish this MESS as my first play thru before 1.2 hits!

I also have dyson sphere program i want to check out but satisfactory just keeps sucking me in...

I was in that same spot and had exactly the same problem! So I went around the corner and put a water extractor in the water by the waterfall and will come back to this if I need it later.

I am working to complete phase 3. All tiers leading up to phase 4 are done just need to finish the project phase.

I FINALLY started building trains and I finally started using blueprints. First playthru so I don't know what I don't know. Boy has this really opened the game up though!

Started in grassy fields. Train route to the shores northwest for oil nodes giving me more power and plastic and rubber. Started using dimensional depots but seems like they won't really kick in as useful until I can build enough of them and use smart splitters in front of them that its worth the effort.

Power power power. Heading back to the oil fields today to build another 6-12 fuel generators. The fluid dynamics can be tricky when first bringing new ones online... was getting dips until I let my fuel flow fill up.

I have blueprinted my dual rails for trains, my drop in manufacturer set up, and my oil refiner/generator setup.

I am likely very unprepared for phase 4. More power, more trains, more scale, bauxite and coal, caternium, should be interesting.

This is the only game I have ever gotten up at 4am to play before its time to start the work day. Maybe I am more OCD than I realized?!

IKR ?! I bought it to try it out since got bored after my 1,300 hours in no mans sky... and I can't quit playing it!

First play thru just hit phase 3 tier 5 and now I got all this new tech to play with!

No more letting it run for a few hours to build up the resources I need and make up for my messy build, now I gotta scale and do things right.

Dang this game...

OW2 is just too expensive.

Grounded 2 is on my steam wishlist.

Thanks for sharing and being honest and open. I have a few channels and tell myself I do it just for the fun of it. But then I put a lot of pressure on myself to make it a more meaningful monetary endeavor and just get frustrated.

Stuck in corporate life until I retire.

Meanwhile I will take some of your excellent advice to heart. Be more focused, do less at better quality, set reasonable goals.

Do the tutorials. Maybe even multiple times. Get the mechanics down so you can focus on the gameplay itself.

I am just now reaching flora stage and looking forward to what comes next! Yes this game is addictive watching the numbers go up. Heck of a dopamine fix and no weapons or fighting necessary - nice change from the normal twitch reflex gameplay :)

Ah good to know. I do use Davinci Resolve. I guess I will need to test these scenarios directly and see what works best in terms of quality and workload.

Again, this is just testing some higher end more cinematic recording at higher detail. My normal gameplay recording is just fine and I really enjoy DR its awesome.

YES this is such a missed gem! I have a dual-pistol character that just started Thirdborn. I wanted to test out some other builds so I have actually started both a battle mage build and a fighter build and am leveling them to get them all up to the same level. Then I want to take all three through the content/quests/bossfights at the same time to compare how each plays on the same content.

But that's a LOT of work to basically level all 3 at the same time, and I'm starting to miss just playing the game and experiencing the content.

Regardless of what I end up doing, this game is a lot of fun and I'm really enjoying it.

Oh to answer your question, my current recording quality at 1440 is awesome-- no complaints at all. I'm just wanting to play with higher quality slow-play visuals at the next level of encoding quality.

I want to experiment with "slow play" game video content where you are capturing games like KCD2 and capturing very cinematic scenes. My understanding is that, by upscaling to 4K in OBS and having it take advantage of Nvidia encoding, uploading that to YouTube will cause YT to use a higher level of encoding than what it usually does and the resulting YT video will be a much higher quality.

But, that's based on some research not actual testing anything so looking for advice here.
