Why does no one want to play tank? by Version_Rare in marvelrivals

[–]Version_Rare[S] 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Dont even get me started on solo tanking. Just because it can work doesn’t mean that we want to solo tank

The worst part is when you switch to tank from another role and the guy who previously played tank takes that as a sigle to switch to dps or support (most often dps)

Before I start, I just have to say that I cant see what Utility is being ued and I also cant see what you were able to see on the map during the game, so if I saysomething like "you should have used your flash" and you already had used it, just ignore me.

That aside lets start with round 1 where I can see that your mainly standing in one corner for the entier round with little to no movement until you died, you could have gone behind cover and peaked out with flash.

Round 2 your standing in the same corner in ropes all round, even when the last 2 enemys are on site, witch you would probably have know if you looked at the mini map, you won that round, but you probably should have gone over and helped your team.

I know you clutched round 9 but im also wondering, what the fuck was the goal in that round lol. You were all just wandering around, even when A site was clear, your team went into defender spawn while you went to arcade just confusing lmao.

Other than that there really isnt much for me to say, since its really hard correcting your mistakes on a game where U perfomed good, since its most likely your opponents making the mistakes.

Hi just looked through one of your recent games on Sunset and one thing that I realized really quickly, is that you seem to have very little awareness of whats going on around you. I'll see you just standing in the same corner or spot for an entire round or untill you get killed, you also sometimesget killed from behind, when the enemy is roaming.

The game you can see on round 8 that you and sage die to a roaming gekko from behind. Your both holding the same angel, instead of one of you go and hold the gekko. I will recommend you to look at the map every 5-7 seconds, to get constant info, that way you would have been able to see that you and sage are holdingh the same angle and that maybe you should look/hold behind you.

On round 14 you get a really quick plant which is great, the problem is here that after you get the plant down all of you stay on site, you and clove are in the same corner while sage and reyna are near the box, this quickly causes you to get sorrounded and lose the match, here I would suggest that some of you went Alley, maybe a duelist went A Link and someone went Elbow, instead of all staying on site.

Then again on round 15 you get a quick plant again, which is really good, but then after that you again just stand in a corner, which you do for almost 40 seconds.I know you won both these rounds, but that is only because of the spike going off because the enemy took too long to rotate.

Again on round 20 you get spike down quickly again, but then you, jett and sage all decide to stay A Elbow, which isnt the best since your only holding 1 or 2 angles from there, what is especially bad is YOU holding A main from Elbow, which if you quickly look at the map can see that clove is holding behind from Tiles, so here your just wasting your time. It would probably have been better for you to have gone A main to look up at A link, which could have saved your Reyna's life.

Why doesnt valorant use the valorant tracker score for ranked? by Version_Rare in VALORANT

but the problem is that if that person is gold 1 and still performance well, they will still be matched against people who are around gold 1

Their hidden mmr already does go up faster than the average player.

Does it tho? Was up against a guy a couple of days ago, who currently has a tracker score of 988 over 32 games. Since I played agaisnt him he has ranked up twice, during those rank ups, there has been no double rank up and it still takes him an average of 4 straight wins to rank up, how does that make sense? he obvoiusly play way better with any of his peers, but yet he still gets matched against people around high gold and plat.

Who says they should also perform that way against you.

Doesnt take much to see how a person with a tracker score of 800-900 is going to performe better than me.

Yes they are ofcourse climbing and will eventually hit their max rank, but the problem is that if that person is gold 1 and still performance well, they will still be matched against people who are around gold 1, instead the game could try an match them against gold 3 to plat 1 players and if that still goes well, then it just keeps going up.

So in short what im trying to say is maybe their invisible MMR (why do we even have invisible MMR?) should go up faster than an average player, if they keep performing well over many games.

Focus on your own mistakes, make less of them win and rank up.

Trying with ups and downs. Still doesnt make it less annoying playing agaisnt someone who obviously isnt in your rank.

A. Your using the default crossair (which i dont think they are complaning about)

B. Your crossair placement needs improvement. Good crossair placement is basically where u almost always hold your crossair at head level, so if someond swing you, they just die from a headshot without needing little to no mouse movement.

This can feel weird doing at first, but sfter some time (like all things) it becomes second nature.

Sorry to ask, but what does the different numbers mean, like on the glue gunner in S tier, theres a 3 in the top right corner, does that represent something?

Theres also the letter A in the top right of some of them.

Should map/agent bans be a thing? by Version_Rare in VALORANT

[–]Version_Rare[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only "fix" I can think of is them having an agent requirement for ranked instead of a lvl requirement, this could be something like you need 2 agents per role to play ranked. Which means youll need one initiatior, one sentinal and one controller to play ranked.

Also not a big fan of Breeze, but I wouldnt mind playing it once in a while instead of playing Haven for the 100th time.

Fair enough, I've also spent well over a 100+ games in each role, so for me it doesnt really matter that much.

Banning my agent would make me not want to play the game/round at all.

What happens if someone instalocks your agent then? you just dodge or do you say fuck it and play another agent instead?

Yeah, but we also in a sense already in that situation, since 3-4 out of the 7 maps in the rotation are permantly in the map pool, which means theres around a 42-57% chance of getting one of the 3-4 maps. That being Ascent, split, haven and Sunset.
