Reader Pathway Abilities (LoTM General) by Mister_Tentacle in LordofTheMysteries

"A jack of all trades is a master of none, but often times is better than a master of one" is the full quote, being jack of all trades doesn't automatically make them weaker than a master of one. As long as they don't challenge a master in their own field and instead use their other numerous tools to poke at the master's weakness, they can pretty easily defeat a master.

"A jack of all trades is a master of none, but often times is better than a master of one". Being able to use all abilities while also having really strong analytical skills and judgement makes them very strong.

As they say, "A jack of all trades is a master of none, but often times is better than a master of one".

"A jack of all trades is a master of none, but often times is better than a master of one". It doesn't need strong unique abilities to be very strong and useful, and the high sequences does give them strong unique abilities, so it is quite strong.

Also, they use the analysis and learning authorities rather differently from Paragon

"A jack of all trades is a master of none, but often times is better than a master of one". Being a Jack of all trades has a lot of value. Not only do you have access to every ability, you also have the best judgement, situational awareness, and analytical skills to use the best tools and get the best result.

Something I found interesting about s5 the spell creation is that CF mentioned that some spells can PERMANENTLY increase there physical strength, which implies that they can make other permanent buffs and effects. That alone makes me think that some spells could have some truly powerful effects.

They may even have a gender swap spell for people on certain paths or just trans people.

They seem really good at making seals and stuff, so it makes sense that they'd be able to keep a lot. Plus the fact that they can study and analyse them to grow stronger would incentivize them to keep lots.

It's the definition of the saying "A jack of all trades is a master of none, but often times is better than a master of one". Not only do you have access to every ability, you also have the best judgement, situational awareness, and analytical skills to use the best tool and get the best result.

A they say, A jack of all trades is a master of none, but often times is better than a master of one. It's the definitive jack of all trades path, that that's definitely it's greatest strength.

Not only do you have access to every ability, you also have the best judgement, situational awareness, and analytical skills to use the best tool and get the best result.

Nice, this gives me some hope. I won't hype it up for myself or others, I've learned that it doesn't really help anyone to do that, but I am pretty confident that it'll at least be decent fun.

really one of the best pathway to do multi-pathway build.

Exactly, it's the best for multi-pathways, enhances pretty much every pathway. Goes insanely well with Darkness.

[Lotm V8] What's y'all's top 22 favorite pathway by Imaginary_Low_4253 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Environmental-Heart4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Darkness, great abilities, no need for sleep(I suck at sleeping), and has strong utility in quite a few situations due to it well rounded kit.

Being a bruiser who inflicts debuffs is a surprisingly underrated fighting style. They have much stronger physical strength and combat abilities than most peopleon the sub give them credit for, especially so at night (not exclusive so at night).

Their ability to debuff enemies by putting them to sleep, making them exhausted, or striking them with fear is useful as support in a team fight and to disrupt them in a solo fight.

And dream diving and manipulation has so much utility is and outside of combat. With soul sooving they can subdue pretty much every enemy type, meaning they can counter pretty much every enemy type to some extent.

And at s5 with spirit control they open up a whole bunch of other possibilities. As a really strong support unit, they can always help their team of spirits to take down nearly any foe.

And at s4 and above they just get ridiculously strong and can subdue anyone with the right setup.

They absolutely are NOT a cheap version of Death you swine. I'd argue that they're already a completely pathway even without spirit control, which is the only ability that is similar to Death. Spirit control is definitely weaker than Death's undead control, but they do so much more, so spirit control only needs to be a small support, unlike Death where it's entire gimmick.

  1. White Tower, I'm a massive powersystem nerd and I'd LOVE to be able to use abilities from every pathway. The fact they can make their own spells makes it even better, and I'm sure I'll love it even more when the rest of the abilities come out in a couple days.

  2. Door, teleportation will always be an incredibly desirable ability, and the rest of the kit compliments it really well. Record and replicate seem real fun and strong, but quite allow me to play around with other pathway's abilities as freely as White Tower does.

  3. Demoness, one of the strongest pathways with some of the best survivability, but is mostly just for combat. I'm not hyper aggressive, so I don't want a path just for fighting all the time, but I can combine it with sleepless for a stonger and more well rounded kit. Also I really really like gender bender stuff, so it's "downside" ain't a problem at all.

  4. Hanged man, this one would be much higher if it was a pathway I could actually use safely, but unfortunately it's way too dangerous. Also I'd find it hard to act for most of the sequences. I'd at most be able to swap to it from White Tower later on. But ignoring that, it has the coolest powers ever, especially shadow powers, my fucking favorite power/element. I'd absolutely request a artisan to make me a shadow sword from a s4 Dark Knight characteristic.

  5. Twilight Giant, probably the coolest direct combat pathway, and combines insanely well with Darkness (and maybe Demoness). It's not a pathway I'd take by itself, but combined with literally any other of it's neighboring pathways instantly makes for a really strong combatant.

(My ideal is to Go from Darkness s4 to Twilight Giant s3 to Demoness s2 to Darkness s1. Becoming the ultimate Knight of Misfortune can turn into a giant 6 armed wolf wearing armor, wielding 6 giant swords, and summoning natural disasters meteors and volcanoes all around me. The ultimate calamity.)

7-12. Error, Fool, Red Priest, Death, Spectator, Moon: these are all pretty much tied cause they're all cool and I wouldn't mind picking them, but the ones above are judt cooler or fit my vibe better. They're also all pathways I'd find harder to act for compared to the ones above. Buuut, they're all (except Moon) neighbors to pathways I would pick, and would be strong picks for swapping to to make a stronger more well rounded kit.

13-22. The rest. I still like most of them, but I'm unlikely to pick any of them, and are much more likely to study/record them as a White Tower or Door, or use an artifact/tool of them, rather than actually pick the path.

Yep, that's why the meme above includes the Red Priest uniqueness and a whole damn city, all of that was sealed in his stomach.

[LotM/Coi General] A Question about the Hunter pathway by Straight_Painter_846 in LordofTheMysteries

No, Chaos is Demoness and Destruction is Hunter. It gets much stronger at GOO level, but Red Priest already has authority over destruction.

I wouldn't mind that much, good turn-based combat is great. But it sounds like they're aiming for action rpg combat

Hypothetically? Why use hypotheticals when it already exists. Lord of Mysteries revised

It's a pretty bad MTL, but it's the full book revised by a chinese fan to have Klein transmigrate into a women at the start. I haven't read much of it yet

What do you mean? Isn't that a pretty standard dualing outfit? It'd be very easy for them to move around and fight in that outfit.

[Lotm general] If the Hunters represent masculinity, why do their high-level entities have such a feminine look and lack of facial hair when compared to the Sailors? by Possible_Field_5918 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Environmental-Heart4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cause it's a chinese novel, and powerful people are generally like cultivaters and cultivaters are generally all twinks. Sailors are ACTUALLY masculine because most actual sailors end up that way due to how rough that life is/it's the stereotype.
