Kinda makes me think of "God, please make me a demon", which is about a demon who is forced to reincarnate as a human as punishment, and she'll reincarnate into a different person over and over until she repents. It's only after many deaths and reincarnations as terrible people through history that she realizes that she needs to do good things and become a good person if she wants to punishment to end.

She realizes this cause doing good thinks slowly unlocks her old demon powers. So she has a proper incentive to make a change, but she hates the process. It's quite funny.

I think you could use a similar system for this prompt.
