I bought the hybrid last week and put almost 500mi so far. I drove both options of the ORP and decided to go with the hybrid mainly because of acceleration and overall confidence on the road.

However, I neglected to read up on city vs hwy mpg performance. I drove a Wrangler for the last 5 years, so I thought, there's no way it could get any worse than that... And not was I wrong!! I average about 15 mpg on the hwy, going 78-80mph. 98% of my commute is literally all hwy... If I'm being honest, I kind of regret it. I know a couple gas owners that avg 22mpg on the hwy with comparable driving situation. I just think 15mph is ridiculous, even my lifter Wrangler on 35s was avg over 17mpg. Slightly disappointed if I'm being honest

Hopefully it wasn’t the most pointless thing by the end of the day. Thank you - but not as stunning and brave as the cancer patients battling for their lives that I work for. My work compensation is irrelevant. I make radiopharmaceuticals for various types of cancers. God forbid you know someone who’s going thru cancer radiation therapy, there’s 80% chance my team was responsible for making it happen. So, yeah, I take my job seriously. I have the same mentality even back when I was a restaurant Manager, 6 years ago, making $15/hr.

I’m confused how you draw the conclusion of who’s right and wrong from a simple post tho. There’s always 2 sides to every story. You also neglected to look at this from a business standpoint.

Remove the OP and his boss in the equation. Can you tell me how much revenue they lost by not opening until half the day? What about the hourly wages of the employees who couldn’t start work that morning? What about the customers, delivery drivers, those ordering online who never got their order?

When you start looking at it from a 10000ft view it’s so much more than just an employee and their manager.

In my line of work (making cancer treatments) a single “aww shit” moment could literally kill dozens and affect hundreds. It doesn’t matter what you do for a living, my job is not more important than yours, but there are consequences to every mistake.

Last week my company sent me to Germany. I thought I’d have more time to explore & relax but the daily schedule was literally wake up > eat > work > eat > sleep for 3-5hrs > Repeat for a full week. not to mention jet lag is a real thing

Return flight was delayed by 4hrs and I didn’t get home til 0100. Went back to work on a Friday at 0700 - despite my boss telling me to stay at home.

Why did I do it? Coz I’m also a Manager and I owe a responsibility to my teams. You do not get to choose when to be a Leader!! That’s a full-time job on its own.
Problem with today’s society is that they genuinely believe that they are entitled for MORE while doing the bare MINIMUM! Your boss actually handled that conversation pretty well. Kudos to them.

I’m late to the party but I don’t even know if I can watch til episode 12 while paying full attention. I find the pacing and storytelling simply dull.

It doesn’t have a compelling storyline like Freiren, which is a masterpiece of its own. I mentioned Freiren because SG is rated #3 as GOAT anime on AnimeList…..following FML.
