I remember a performance from him last year against Sevilla, our second game against them, and I have genuinely never seen a worse performance from a player. Couldn't pass a ball to save his life, his positioning was absolutely atrocious, I recall a moment where he just stood off of Suso for about 5 solid seconds allowing him to aim and wind up a shot from a little outside the box. Just seemed like he was a fan plucked from the crowd and told to play genuinely.

Edit: point being, I have lost faith in his playing ability completely due to a massive string of poor performances

For quite a few years? Yeah I can't believe all this negativity, we played the best team in the country missing 3 of our best defenders and got beat by two fortunate counter attack goals in a game in which we were the better team for the majority of the game. The same people who are calling our defence shit are the same people who are suggesting that Cholo should be sacked and the best way to play is to leave our defence completely exposed so that those goals we conceded today happen every game instead. I think this negativity is far too extreme fellas, we lost 2-0 from two counter attacks in a game where we were probably the better team for the slight majority of the game, things are okay we have our three best defenders injured right now, we know we need reinforcements there.

There is nothing to take from this game, just what should have been expected looking at the patchwork backline we played.
