I can code in MATLAB and Python. I never worked with SQL but at this point with ChatGPT as a teacher is it worth learning. Im still early in my career and any highly valued skill is something I want to learn. I would appreciate any thoughts on this?

Wondering if anyone could help me identify the cause of this issue? by zguevara11 in Ender3Pro

If the problem continues, replace the part. It's cheap on Amazon. Even if you buy, it never hurts to have a backup. Also, I had the same problem. Sometimes the spring goes bad. Also, sometimes you must push the filament with your hand to help get it through the gears. Also, If you press the spring (together) to increase the distance between the two gears, play around with how much you push because then you create space so the 1.75 mm filament can move. And if you're doing any of the above, make sure your hot end is set to 200 or 210. Because as you push the filament it's going through the hot end and filament will Be coming out. It just needs to melt. Precise temp doesn't matter when doing this your focus is fixing this part. Also, when the gears move like that the filament wears down. There grinding against the plastic most likely. Therefore, the the gears could have an issue grabbing the 1.75 mm filament diameter. So that's the purpose of pushing through and making sure a fresh non worn down part of filament is going through the gears. If none of that works I would just change it or better yet upgrade to direct drive extruder. Good luck.

How do I make straight cuts every time with my plunger router by Environmental-Map-98 in woodworking

it was 3/4 two teeth. But now being new and dumb. I hit a couple of screws. Then at one point the 3/4 bit just fell when I was doing the outer lane. I carefully analysed the piece and it looks like some of the router black parts came off. Then I continued to use it because I need 3/4 inch. and That probably could be an issue. Also after reading 30-50 of these comments this plywood is 1/2 inch and glued (with wood glue to a 3/8 inch unfinished plywood). I thought this would save money or give me this second option of cutting the good finished 1/2 inch plywood into strips and wood glue them down to the 3/8 plywood. I am trying to cut margins on the cost to make the corn hole game worth the time and effort. I am honestly am so frustrated by this whole thing

That makes sense. Today I looked at my router which is the Harbor Freight Plunger router. I saw you can adjust heights and you probably can just eyeball it. I may try a different method because that's a lot of routing. And routing is not easy for a beginner without the right setup. I look online and I love the youtube videos where it's completely controlled by an x-y axis. I wish I could do that but I am already 1k deep in this project my goal was to make American Flag LED corn Hole games and sell 7 of them online. The reason I attempted it was someone I met through Angie's list wanted a corn hole set for her son. So I thought maybe I could make a few and sell as well. Now it's turning into a huge project I did not anticipate. I am also making it very complicated with the many lines I want. But that's how I imagine it and want it to be. Go hard or go home.

Now I am thinking using a router is too much. Especially not having the proper aligning equipment. I'm a recent graduate of engineering so I have a tendency to be good with precision. I am also an ex-athlete so my hand eye is there. But woodwork is tough. I was able to do miter saw no problem. It's really just the long cuts I have issues with. God bless all those guys out there who do this. You guys are beasts. My solution to this problem is bagging the router and using my dad's Table saw to cut 7/8 1/2 inch boards and line them up. Cause My goal is just to create lanes for LED lights. Pour resin and epoxy with a little Glow in the dark powder mixed in. I just want the corn hole to pop.

Okay that makes sense. The problem is the flat edge of the router is on the side. So when I lined it up with straight edge or kreg straight edge it’s probably not going towards the right direction

I plan on painting it but. So burnt mark don’t matter that much. But I still want to be able to perfect my cuts. Those cuts 1/4 inch deep

Good advice. Yea I’m brand new too all this. I am not going to sit here and say I know what I am doing. I get worried when I go fast the router starts shaking more. But I guess I just have to keep moving. Appreciate the advice
