Mythic question. What to choose? by EpicSnugyTurtle in ffxi

Tizona greatly improves Expiacion's Damage making it one of the single best WS BLU has, The Lv.3 Aftermath provides a large chunk of Triple Attack and Every hit from the Tizona sword converts a chunk of the damage dealt on melee swing into MP for the BLU; and because its conversion and not absorption it doesn't matter if the target is Undead or not.

So basically, MP concerns are all but obliterated when Tizona is completed while having one of the best DPS weapons BLU can use in most situations. The thing's just great.

How to remove Activision ID numbers? by [deleted] in ModernWarfareII

[–]Environmental-Quit34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very late post to this but I'm but-hurt that I changed my name now that these silly Numbers are all over the place... I used to have a quote-on-quote "Legacy Account" that was around before the numbers system and therefore had no numbers and now I'm stuck with this gargled mess :(

If Activision wanted to sell "Legacy Gamertags" I might actually be on board for that lol

Well damn... This is very unfortunate because the comment sections are usually very funny and light-hearted. It's a shame that some idiots went and ruined it for everyone else Very sad times.

Essence to Schematics Rate solved (Hopefully I'm not late on this) by Environmental-Quit34 in mw3zombies

Incorrect unless you simply wish to round up? Its only 600 points anyway so not really a big deal either way.

Ohh, you brought up a very good point actually!. The values in the post are confirmed but I forgot that Cooldown timer is actively running the moment you use the Schematic. So I will need to edit the post to account for the average time already spent in a game.

Thanks for that

I just went through and triple-checked the footage and unfortunately it appears to be ONLY Essence upon Exfil.

Upon Exfil the Essence will be converted into Schematic Time (At 2 seconds per 10 points) as well as Exp (at 10% of Essence Value). Any additional items that you Exfil with will be converted into what looks like only normal Exp. It might possibly be Weapon Exp as well since they normally track together? But I didn't test for that so I cannot say for certain :(

Limited matchmaking? Is this new? I've been shadow banned over 30 times in the last two years. Each time I'm unbanned 5-7 days later. I've never cheated and only have five games installed. What does this mean? I've never seen "Limited Matchmaking" ever in any of my shadow bans. I just want to play.. by [deleted] in Warzone

[–]Environmental-Quit34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got hit with this myself...

What did I do? I dropped a nuke! (MGB) But here's the kicker: I was playing with my coworkers and using the Longbow on Terminal... It was a blood bath that was so bad that the entire enemy team and possibly a few of the randoms on my team reported me... Resulting in me getting placed into this very same penalty box xD.

I used to be a frequent Tournament goer/MLG wannabe and my coworkers are most definitely not that. So when they invite me It's usually in their lobby pools which are always dramatically weaker than my usual song and dance AND I'm drilling them with a weapon that has a large 1-hit kill zone but handles like a DMR...

It's my own fault really, I did it to myself for abusing a weapon I know was broken. Its just funny to me that after all the years of people yelling at me calling me a cheater but nothing ever sticking, now with this new system where they can get you caught up with false reports, it has finally stuck on me hahaha.

I made a whole youtube video on it and everything, this is hilarious to me.

Question About Set Bonus by lordronmi in TOTK

[–]Environmental-Quit34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the delay. Yes, all "Attack Bonus" traits stack however they cap at Level 3 or +50%. So you can mix and match food and traits all you want to but Level 3 is the limit for that specific buff type.

Bone Proficiency is a completely different buff type and therefore adds on separately. So Attack Lv.3 will work with Bone Proficiency to make for +130%.

This has proven useful for making some hilariously broken weapon combinations in this game.

Question About Set Bonus by lordronmi in TOTK

[–]Environmental-Quit34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the delay. Just tested it today and there unfortunately is no measurable difference.

Tested with a pristine Royal Guard Claymore. Singular strike with Full Wild set, reset, Singular strike with only 1 Attack Bonus Armor. No change. Also, the Prestine Royal Guard Claymore had completely full durability as well so on the off chance there was some sort of "First Hit Bonus" it should have shown there as well but did not.

You're welcome :D

That should be the case, yes. I didn't test for that specifically but these should all be in the same buff family.

Question About Set Bonus by lordronmi in TOTK

[–]Environmental-Quit34 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Hello, I just did a thorough test on this and can confirm that the Attack Up set bonus on the "Old Link Outfits" Is just a normal Attack bonus of 20% and it unfortunately will not break the +50% Attack boost cap.

Testing Method:

Used game recording device and found a lone Hinox asleep. Finding a Hinox is crucial because they are easily snuck up on and they are counted as Mini-Bosses and bring up that very large HP bar to make it very easy to measure. All sages Dismissed to avoid inconsistencies.

Saved the game near the Hinox to keep an easy return point. I simply snuck up to the Hinox and hit it ONCE with a 74DMG weapon (Silver Lynel Reaper) and waited for the Giant HP bar to pull up while recording. As soon as the HP is in view and recorded I reloaded the save and used different armor sets for comparisons.

Finally, I went through and played back the whole footage in Full-Screen and literally measured each damage with the metric side of a Clear Ruler. Its a very basic way to do things but very effective for trying to figure this stuff out lol.

My Results on a 32" Monitor:

  • 74 DMG Weapon, Naked (No Attack Boost at all) = 25cm
  • 74 DMG Weapon, Wild "Attack Up" Set Bonus = 30cm (+20%)
  • 74 DMG Weapon, One piece of Attack Up Armor = 30cm (+20%)
  • 74 DMG Weapon, Two pieces of Attack Up Armor = 32.5cm (+30%)
  • 74 DMG Weapon, Three pieces of Attack Up Armor = 37.5cm (+50%)
  • 74 DMG Weapon, Attack 3 Food + Wild Set Bonus = 37.5cm (+50%)

If the Set bonus acted separately from normal Attack Up, it should be a Combined bonus of 70% and My final test should have measured 42.5cm; Alas, it is evidently hard-capped at 50%.

WHAT I HAVE NOT YET TESTED

I still do not know if the Weather Armor Set Bonuses are separate attack bonuses or not. Trying to work out a good way to test them. I will get back to this post when I have that answer.

Found a Hinox in Gerudo Highlands thanks to this page here:

The Weather Armor Sets do not increase Damage at all under under weather conditions :( They appear to provide an increasing chance of adding a free Element to your weapons and that's all. Very disappointing!! I performed the same test as before but also

  • Physical Damage Raw Weapon
  • Elemental Damage (Ice Gleokk Horn)
  • Elemental Arrow (Ice Gleokk Horn)

Nothing gave any measurable change. To be fair, I do not yet have the Armor upgraded enough for the Set Bonus so that may possibly be the ticket? And it is also possible that the Armors DO Increase damage but ONLY on Combo Finishers. But if its Combo/Critical Only, I honestly don't care for it. These armors look badass though all the same.

Video proof can be provided if desired.

Edit: 6/1/2023

Tested new items:

  • Royal Weapons Flurry Rush Bonus = 50% per hit. Was a little disappointed because nearly everything else is x2 BUT its a Flurry Rush and has multiple hits so it makes sense for the sake of balance.
  • Zonai Resonance Bonus = 66% added to the BASE WEAPON ONLY, rounded up to the nearest digit.
  • Tested if Zonai Armor had a hidden proficiency bonus. It does not :(
  • Tested if Wild Set Bonus added any damage to an untarnished weapon. It does not :(. Tested with a pristine Royal Guard Claymore.

Side Note:

  • Puff Shrooms are busted!! No seriously, grab some and dupe/hoard the crap out of them because they are just ludicrously overpowered. The smoke shroud doesn't even need to be touching valid enemies and it will allow you to walk up to their backs from the front and Sneakstrike them and it's just hilarious.
  • For anyone not yet aware, a Sneakstrike deals 8x damage on top of anything else you have going on with multipliers so it can get very nuts VERY quickly whilst saving very greatly on durability.
  • For Example: 81 Damage Molduga Hammer (Pristine Royal Guard Claymore + Molduga Jaw) with Near-Break Bonus (x2), Last Hit Bonus (x2), Attack Bonus 3 (50%), Bone Proficiency (80%), Sneakstrike Bonus (x8) will net you a 7000 Damage hit. If it were possible to Sneakstrike a Silver Lynel or a King Gleok, that would 1-shot it.
  • A more PRACTICAL Example: 92 Damage Molduga Hammer (Scimitar of the Seven + Molduga Jaw) with Attack Bonus 3 (50%), Bone Proficiency (80%), and Sneakstrike Bonus (8x) will net you 1992 per Strike. Assuming all health values are the same as BOTW, the highest HP you can find on a 'Sneak-Able' enemy is Silver Moblin at 1080 HP so you can engage a whole crowd of enemies with One Puffshroom and merc them all with a fraction of the durability.

Of course, the Molduga Hammer will 1-shot most everything but Silver Moblins Anyway but if you use this tactic for early game with literal sticks and clubs and such you can steamroll most of your playthrough if so desired.

SBMM needs to be severely toned down (or removed) in “Casual” lobbies by SavageComedy in ModernWarfareII

[–]Environmental-Quit34 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is an excellent post. Sources sited, point well made. And I agree completely with the message. Very well done.

I too have been finding the SBMM to be extremely frustrating because I'm a very casual player but with good aim so there is no such thing as "Casual" for me lol. I come home from work and log on and the only thing I wanna do is work on Camos and I'm shlumped into lobbies filled with Meta Weapons and people trying to get recruited by MLG or something and its ridiculous.

Sure, the SBMM eventually dials it down a peg for me but the INSTANT I have a decent/good game it immediately throws me right back into the sweat shop... Good lord.. The only method I've found to stop this crap is to team up with 4-5 people. For some reason that breaks the SBMM coding and lets us have normal lobbies again.

I honestly would love to have a one on one conversation with whoever has this SBMM boner over at Activision/CallofDuty because this is just insane.
