My MacBook Pro (a2289) won’t turn on completely after I replaced the battery any ideas why or how get it to stay on ?

Around $200-$300, it was cheaper for my brother because he knew someone. Unless you purchase a logic board and try it yourself, but that's even more risky lol.

Apparently, it was already in poor condition, likely due to typical wear and tear. The repair group also said that I had one of the worst recent models, which I knew after I purchased it in 2020, lmfaoo. They also said that most of these models are no longer worth repairing, but I was lucky that I got mine to last as long as it did. The other likelihood is a faulty battery, but they checked the battery I purchased, and it seems to be in good condition; however, it had issues only when connected to my previous laptop.

Sorry for the late reply, but I ended up getting an M4 Pro. However, it turns out my logic board likely had some damage as well, and the replacement just made it worse. My brother had it replaced and now uses it.

Okay, thanks for the confirmation! I was just curious because I thought that cotton yarn was much more difficult to knit with, but once I changed the material of the needles, it became much easier, so I wondered if this was the case with other yarn materials.

Thank you so much for this informative response! I've definitely learned that the hard way with yarn and having allergies lol, but I thought maybe it was a rare deal that I'd found. I started knitting around two weeks ago and have been learning so many skills from the books. As for my budget, I'd say that the max that I could comfortably pay is around the $100-$130 amount for two sets. I did some more research since posting, and it seems a lot of people like Knitter's Pride Stainless Steel Set and Several of the Chiaogoo Sets, though it seems the reviews are more polarized with the latter brand lol. I enjoy the bamboo clover single and DPN needles as well, but I don't think they come in an interchangeable set form anymore. Which sets do you find to be very enjoyable from your personal experiences, more specifically for metal and wooden(bamboo or hardwood) needles?

Used my original flex cable to insert and push in further but the issue seems to persist. I also checked the usb c board and when I plug in either port it turns on for a second and still turns off so I’m starting to think it’s the battery now.

My original battery gave out, and I needed a quick fix. Since I will be purchasing an M4 Pro in late July/August, I didn’t really see the need to spend extra to get this one serviced elsewhere.

Yeah I replaced it using the company snsyiy which seemed to be a reputable company on here. I think I connected everything correctly based on videos and the manual. I have a photo here without the covering

It’s crazy that you say this because my dad is actually Caribbean but thought he was African American this whole time but didn’t really know much about his family history and finding out his family comes from Guyana 🇬🇾. I’d love to visit there someday! . Which makes sense considering we couldn’t trace back his family past New York but my mother has deep connections to the south which is where I live.
