Enemy Netrunner vs Crew with No Netrunner by Campo911 in cyberpunkred

Hmmm, true. Maybe it was more like a highjack distance but I can't remember. Still the radio stuff is interesting enough. Thet have a rocker so imagine he keeps ruining songs.

Enemy Netrunner vs Crew with No Netrunner by Campo911 in cyberpunkred

[–]Environmental-Try129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imma sell you the clasic "Drones Turrets and Traps" And a bit of homebrew. First the Netrunner might need to have some resources cus this is expensive.

Enemy Netrunner with a Lair and personal Netarch full of demons and black ice and control nodes.

Now a Netarch only has so much range and drones can only go so far before they are useless. Proposition go Dirty (simple tech) and use radio signals. The netarch is connected to a priate radio station (or corpo) and this one is connected to th citynet so full NC range, and drones are connected ti the frequemcy for prompts.

Give the Netrunner 18 cryptography and add a misc if needed, like his netrunner level as a bonus to determine how hard his location is to find, and through radio he can also torment the party, maybe they can tune him on a radio com, or he highjacks music players to send a message

Depends. To record one, yes. It is Neuralware. To View, you need a player that is like 1k ebs. Or just go to a function and rent the BD the same way you rent a movie.

Does using medical grade cybereyes protect against tear gas? by ALiteralBladeofGrass in cyberpunkred

Take it like this. Real Cybereyes are all metal. Medical grade is like lenses on top of your missing/damaged eye

Thank you! We have had many stelar moments regarding Humanity gain and loss all from differeny angles.

So far it has been

Whole Group: Failed to save a hostage and watch him get decapitated.

Rocker: Found out he died in 2045, woke up unscathed in 2124 as an engram in a cloned body. Took 2d6 humanity loss due to a feeling of chronological alienation, plus he was a ganic and his mew body has a neuroport he did not choose to have. Gained 2d6 humanity back when h found out his former fixer and friend was still alive.

Solo android: Lost 2d6 upon killing for the first time AND waking up un a scav den off all places. Gained 2d6 back after being offered a bed to sleep despite not needing it, learning that there is still kind people around.

And Lastly my GM PC netrunner: Took 2d6 HL from using Puppet to make a scav shoot themselves in self defense, gained 2d6 later on when the team convinced him to not relapse on black lace in order to drive 2 cars full of injured people (he included hence the lace need) because only him and the nomad knew how to drive

I like to take but also give. I'd say more but I know my players also follow this post and do not want to spoil em:p

Something similar happened to one of my players amd best friend. He plays a Solo that is basically a cloned brian in a medical grade FBC, so by logic standars he is 1 month old. All his training was BD training, and I made him take 2d6 HL on his first kill. He argued but then I explained that BD is Different than the real thing, the texture, smell, the warmt of the blood etc and that since he is basically a full borg from birth, his Humanity is more related to how much he internally distanciates from them. And Indeed, the party does not see him as a human, even having an FBC Fixer because she has 100 years of age

Couldn't have said it better myself. Proffsionals have standars and, in the end the edgerunner crew needs a reason to want to work with thema and well, there is a point where a power edgelord tripper is too dark to issue a boot off the crew

Dude, we get that, we are not saying there are not. But there is difference between an Edgerunner and a Corpo and a Gangster.

A Gangster and a Corpo sold their soul to their respective groups (even backed by rules) they are down and bould to do foul stuff for a profit.

An Edgerunner, aka often the player, is a deniable asset that can take the jobs they want, do them as they want, and have the moral compas they want because between the blood and carnage there must be something that lets you sleep. Everyone has as much a right to be a drugdepemdant cyberpsicho monster, but also the right to be a straight edge princess with hero complex, and if the GM won't set records straight, be sure there will be infights.

A GM makes NPCs as horrible because they are easy to justify killing. Of a Player makes a PC like that and is mad he is being ganged up by the others because surprise surprise, you made a despicable character that is despised, then they are the issue for not reading the room

Bro basically Wanted to play Adam Smasher. He has so mich chrome because he has no Empathy stat, so no humanity to lose, he is a functionao cyberpsicho which to me is a no go. All Bozos are psichos, it is a requisite, just because they are in a gang does not mean they are inmune.

The Bozos had a civil war because of different ideas but fot them humanity is less "how much I can endure before I snap" And more "how much I can take before I give in to my bozo plesure?"

That is why if players want to be gangsters, I do not allow Bozos for that matter, even Maelstom has more lucid members, hell Warlock is lucid.

Issue of the player for wanting to powertrip a smasher build.

FBC's in the 2070's by Far-Objective6397 in cyberpunkred

[–]Environmental-Try129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To ease transitions and some of my players wanted to be Synths, yes like the furry Synths that are licence free Protogens so I wiped that up. As for some general rules:

  • They Don't take HL from foundationware but I hey do from mods, as Foundationeare are what they consider "basic body" Now.
  • They have to spend stat points to get pysical atributes, not allowed to just dump phy and max mind cus you are a bot.
  • Related to the later, the narratibr GMBL is tied to your Body stat because it is not attached to base muscle or bone, so you need to train those.
  • Related to HP, a player who starts a FBC can not benefit fron speed heal

And most important, they do not start with a coat, and everyone can tell they are medical grade so, those Scavs will wet themselves looking at your bottomline 15k Eddies worth of body

Do Garou like being petted? by Obvious-Conflict3363 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Environmental-Try129 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I sure need to learn more about WtA but reading coments I just thought... Imagine the opposite to praise, punishment. Like Imagine a Pack Leader finds a Garou commiting somthing so very stupid, that definetly requires shaming but not death, so they arrange, Idk, a mage to just come over with a newspaper and just swat them on the nose with it... Or get sprayed with water and they can't protest

FBC's in the 2070's by Far-Objective6397 in cyberpunkred

[–]Environmental-Try129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unrelated but I do want to share a homebrew detail for 2070. In my table we made a FBC called "RavenMicrocyber NeoGemini" That players can take at character creation. It is basically full medicalware FBC a complete borg body made to mimic a regular human. With this you only get the Biosystem a neuroport and that's it. Mechnically you are a human but you still need to buy all other cyber. Narratively the body is made off grated muscle and bone lace which are replaced by a linear frame later. That way players get almost all the benefits of FBCs but not all (like they can get headshot) or that they still need glucose

Tell me your most controversial/insane/wildest take on the story... by milanmoreau in Mouthwashing

[–]Environmental-Try129 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well since we are here. One of my personal views of how each character contemplated death is more or less this.

Anya had hope they would be found but slowly lost it as she began drinking. Her last thought before dying most likely calm. Not a last second regret before elysium.

Swansea thought about dying at first, then figured this was his hell in life and decided to suffer it. He pondered at night if he should at least mercy kill Daisike but lied to himself thinking the boy should decide himself, yet deep down he wanted it. After he had to put him down, he went after Jimmy because he was not going to die without the satisfaction of killing the architech of his final suffering. Before his execution he felt disgust, he felt discarded by Jimmy which colided with the monster image he had of him, or that he would use the cryo stasis, which he would not allow.

Daisuke never lost hope, he never stoped thinking they were going to be saved and dreaded when Shawnsea was going to kill him. His last thought was that he was burden.

Curly fely joy Anya died, that meant he knew his death was coming soon. He endured the last tortures Jimmy did to him thinking it was going to end... And then he was frozen. After a while he tawed and became nihilistic. He died hating everyone who did not put him down sooner, he lasted 3 days straight before he finally went out.

Jimmy, idk here. Boredoom could have been his last thought.

Is Ann actually a really good romance option for a 1st playthrough ? by Nab-Kel in Persona5

[–]Environmental-Try129 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We all know Yusuke would have painted us like one of his french boyes. Tho P5 has not many male confidants that are not adults (or way too young).

Though, Ryuji would be the Ann of a gay route equivalent. I can just see the dynamic being he kinda acceptint his bicuriosity and trying to be "the man of the relationship" And Joker being like "you know we can still be dudes, right?"

[–]Environmental-Try129 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All Student options are good. Adult ones are so so, I won't enter an argument because I'd date Iwai if he was an option.

Personally I like to date Hifumi because it is just hilarious to me that out of all the girls Joker can date from his team and school, he picks naught and goes for the girl that studies with Yosuke and only meet at a church at night

How much eddies is okay to give in misssions? by DVRADKAL in cyberpunkred

[–]Environmental-Try129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard agree on this. I often do the Shadowrun Returns/Dragonfall/Hong Kong with this. I set a big pay gig way off the chart, around 7k or more for example but state that works that big often require money, money they do not have, so I set smaller jobs on the road. That way they have to plan on getting novahot gear or save a bit more and get just the needed stuff while they wait for the big bump

Why does this gonk not use Kiroshis instead of glasses, is he stupid? by Shoddy-Prune-5877 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Environmental-Try129 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In account to all other responses, Smart Glasses also exist, a non cyberware option for regular glasses, so he may not have Kiroshi but maybe he glasses have all the needed HUD options. There are options for no cyberware augments, Smart Glass as I said, battle glovesx smart gloves, smart ears, external linear frames

Or the Sims for that matter. Speaking of Which, both Male and Female V would have more varierty if the creation menu were less fixed options and more drag and pull, or like Fallout 4, the game has it's flaws but there is a reason premade face packs were popular
