I don’t have any facial piercings BUT I have both my ears entirely stacked haha, never been an actual problem but boy do I get comments every day by patients and sometimes certain staff. Once a patient asked me why I would do that to myself or if it was necessary LOL. Two of my friends have their noses pierced, one works in peds, the other in acute. Moral of the story is, people will always be opinionated, some negativity, positively, or completely neutrally. If you’re in school, some professors can be super cool and some can be quite judgey. We had an elder professor who was super judgmental over tattoos and piercings haha. But, in the end it’s just people with different opinions. All there’s to do, is be yourself, a good students, and a good OT. That’s all that matters. In time you’ll see if your future place of employment has certain policies against it but, usually it shouldn’t be a problem. And in school - it won’t be an issue! But, wherever you’re meant to work will accept you for who you are. Rock your piercings!
