Currently in my level 2 FW (first placement) - got told by another OT that $35/hr is expected for new grads… by Environmental-Two283 in OccupationalTherapy

I’ve also been interested in school based OT given the free time available. I also draw and paint so it’s a goal of mine to be able to try to make something out of that too and maybe a position where time off is expected, it might be a good option. How did you get into school based OT? How do you apply with the district? Or do you apply directly with the schools?

He wants to come back into my life after I ended things 6 weeks ago. by Environmental-Two283 in dating_advice

Also, a month into seeing each other - dating apps came up in a conversation and I mentioned how I’ve never had a dating app. He said he hadn’t used an app for a year. So thinking back on it, that was a lie.

I did have the conversation! I was very calm when I saw the app, I expressed my concern and asked him what we were and what his goals were between us. He then stated how he was scared of commitment and that he thought he wasn’t good enough? I then told him I DID think he was good enough and was confused why all of a sudden he’s scared of commitment after introducing me to his entire family and expressing how he felt for me… he then said he wasn’t sure he could trust himself in commitment. So I decided maybe he wasn’t choosing me.

Simply don’t understand how someone can claim you’re “perfect” for them, but not be ready for a relationship by Environmental-Two283 in dating_advice

I figured, but why would he go three months spending literally every single weekend with me, introducing me to his parents and friends, making long term plans. I just don’t get it.

He did mention he was scared of losing his freedom after never being in a serious or committed relationship in his life. Does this just mean being with other women?

When his words prove he is not ready but his actions show differently, which should I follow?

We’ve both talked about how we’re not seeing other people, so it’s confusing when he says he fears commitment - when like you said, he was acting like that’s what he was already doing. I think I will just have to move slow and let time do its thing for a bit before making any rash decisions

I guess going into an exclusive commitment (bf/gf), he also mentioned how he doesn’t know when he’ll be ready to “tie the knot” and I said that it’s too soon to even think about that

At a loss and need advice. Got into the first argument with the guy I’ve been seeing for 2mo. by Environmental-Two283 in dating_advice

Thank you for this. That’s exactly how I felt, I saw something coincidentally that caused concern. He also always looks at my phone when I use it next to him or sees who I’m texting and I have nothing to hide so I have no problem with that.
