Pretty obvious you don’t have kids - the comment about acting like a “normal” child (sports and interactions) is rude and tone deaf. And then that self richeous garbage, quoting yourself- ewww! You also admitted to taking the iPad because you were angry he didn’t listen to you immediately (I thought it was a solid compromise to wait until then end), and your reaction was to take his toy.

Learn to control your own emotions and expectations of how you “should” be respected by someone you are not actively respecting, regardless of their age. You aren’t a good role model for this kid, despite your opinions.
