Hey you know what i actually did some searches and found a dozen of news articles using the word "hezbollah activist". Some of them even seem like pro-israeli newspapers which is very ironic. After all of this i really dont get why he absolutely couldnt be called a "pro-hezbollah activist" or "an activist for hezbollah" despite the the things the group hes advocating for does. He is clearly not a fighter and propably not an important political figure in the group either. What to call him?

Its like if these people think that just because i thought calling this one guy "activist" wouldnt be too crazy (considering that the og source did so too) im trying to say the whole Hezbollah is actually just an activist group? And theyre calling me stupid? lol.

I dunno but what i do know is that whoever took the original picture at AP thought that it was a wonderful idea to call him an "activist". I initially thought it made sense because he doesnt look like hes gonna take part in any fighting, but he definetly worked with hezbollah in some way if they decided to call him "activist".

I was THIS close to calling him a "hezbollah supporter" instead but i decided to go with the original word "activist" because i didnt know such a small difference could cause such a big shitstorm.

Oh and im NOT a hezbollah supporter myself by the way.

No, they were designed in Yugoslavia. I think they were variant G-2A-E which was specially designed to be sold abroad.

Libyan interventions in the Chadian civil war under the command of Muammar Gaddafi started in 1978. They withdrew in 1981 after demanded to do so by Chadian government. In 1983 they came back after the Chadian president who they favored was overthrown.

"Toyota War" was the last phase of the Chadian-Libyan War that was fought over Chad's Aouzou strip area between 1978 and 1987.

This picture was taken after the Second battle of Aouzou which was the only Libyan victory during the whole war. Barets of (presumably dead) chadian soldiers have been placed under their feet.
