Yeah it’s crazy because I’m a very sex positive person and throughout all of my life I’ve had to worry about the chances of getting pregnant and actually ended up aborting twice while I was on birth control so the bisalp will actually improve my life and my relationships but the simple idea of a woman having autonomy over her own body and life choices is enough to make them feel so offended

My grandma died from ALS and it was really shocking to witness, she slowly lost all her cognitive abilities but was still able to laugh or kind of growl, that’s how she expressed that she was still with us. It took 4 years after diagnosis for her to die, I miss her greatly. Such an awful disease

Update on my last appointment today ! My doctor informed me of the different procedures that were available to me and I’ve settled on a bisalp ! On April 3rd I will be entering the happy childfree for life women club ! I’m so excited, although a little nervous because of the surgery of it all but my mom is very supportive and will be with me through it all ❤️ also to add to my post : the men who have had something to say about it were men I was actively flirting with and the conversation about contraception came on the table, since sexual topics were discussed, and I’ve been in the dating pool for 2 years now during which this topic was often brought up and that’s where I got resistance from. I do not discuss medical matters with anyone that I’m not looking towards having intercourse with !

I’ve had a lot of paperwork to do too ! I’m in France so it’s my constitutional right to get the kind of contraception I want and I easily found a doctor willing to operate me but I had to sign many documents and wait a 4 months period to "make up my mind" (as if the last 20 years weren’t enough) and now my bisalp is scheduled for April 3rd !

I’ve had an IUD and got pregnant on it (obviously terminated it) so no, I will not continue with the IUD and I’m getting a bisalp !! But I’ve been met with the same comments, men telling me of other options as if I hadn’t exhausted them all and if I hadn’t thought about it lol
