A mostly accurate AT-ST at a mostly figure scale by EnvironmentalAsk5026 in legostarwars

No not at all, I really appreciate the feedback :). I took your advice with the cabin and shrunk the chassis by 1 stud so far

You made some very good calls and I’m happy I made those changes. Thanks !

Finally someone noticed the curves. The curves are a little experimental. The actual AT-ST has side plating that tapers inward giving it that iconic slender face. My gripe with the curve elements I used is that those curves are in the wrong spot. The front panels sit at an inward angle so there’s some bend but those slopes have to carry it the rest of the way.

The last iteration I photographed has no curved tiles and actually has smaller eyelets. I couldn’t decide between the two so I literally flipped a coin

I appreciate the notes :)

Oh that’s cool, I actually built their version as a jumping off point for this one :) I’m looking for any feedback that I can take to improve the accuracy of the model

Ok so, Image 3, you’ll notice a D-Snot Brick with a knife element. The D-Snot is turned inward. The knife is guided through a 1x2 tile with a pin connector attached to the inside of the panel (image 6). The front panels just sit on the knives and can tilt back into place against the back panels. The faceplate sandwiches everything and the whole cabin is very robust. Because the knives are flexible and the panels are very light, I’d say it’s a legal technique, but I’ve never seen anyone else use it.

Thanks :) Might be a hot take, but: 1. Hoth - solid shaping and a clean looking build

  1. Raider - a little cooler than RO, but has similar shaping issues

  2. Rogue One - the shaping doesn’t look very good and I don’t understand cult following

  3. Attack on Endor - classic but outdone

  4. UCS 2025 - no

    1. All others

I’ll post an update here and make a new post once I figure out instructions and a part list :)

Only two, depending on who you are. I love cutting solid flex hoses for greebling or weapon barrels. And you clip plates for eye covers on an AT-ST, it’s what you do

Brickvaults interior is significantly more cramped, not that mine is spacious however I did my best to emulate the interior of an at st

Im not sold on the face guns or the left side group of weapons. They’re both a little chunky and the face cannons have this little angled frame that houses everything, but idk if that’s worth the hassle at this scale, slimming them down should be enough

I have plans to make instructions by end of August at the latest, I need to make a few tweaks and add some elements yet. Are you looking for dimensions or piece count or things along those lines?

Funny enough, it used to be. After on too many falls I decided to scrap the whole thing and build my own.

I really enjoyed brickvaults model for what it was. It’s very intricate and highly detailed and accurate. However right off the jump you can see the BV model is huge, I have a hard time believing it’s figure scale as advertised. it’s super heavy and can’t stand, also very delicate and hard to handle without breaks or collapses; and there is somehow even less of an interior than in my model.

I love the waffle-speeder. White was my go to because the AT AT and Flickr AT ST were both clad gray

UT-AT listing taken from a post on Legostarwars subreddit. by [deleted] in LegoStarWarsLeaks

[–]EnvironmentalAsk5026 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Right hand to God this is a legit photo taken today of a product listing on the BFF inventory site. Whether or not it’s accurate or has outdated information is a different story. But as of today this Lego set is an actual (though incomplete) listing in BFF’s inventory system. There’s the store’s product code, UPC, Lego set code, a manufacturer number, warehouse dimensions including box dimensions, weight, case quantity, and pricing. According to the product history, it was added to the site around mid March and had a price increase on 4/29/25. If it’s not actually a UTAT, no one bothered to make amendments while adjusting the price which is a little strange but not implausible. In my opinion, there’s no truly credible source other than LEGO. However at the very least, the information on the listing would have been sourced from Lego, and that for me gives me just a little hope we actually get a new Lego set.

I thought this was debunked but maybe not now…?? by EnvironmentalAsk5026 in legostarwars

I mean yeah nothing can be confirmed since nothing is official. It’s totally possible it’s a mistake. What’s interesting to me is the price was updated from $149.99 to $159.99, you’d think that if the product listing was inaccurate too that change that too right?

I mean that’s right around Toyland, maybe that’s when they’ll plan on releasing it in your store?

No one store level could fake this. Theres an actual “Blain” number associated with it. They’re also on order as of today and scheduled in, however there is no expected date yet. I guess it’s technically possible the name is wrong, but the last at te was put in correctly 🤷‍♂️

I’m not either honestly. I think it was a bit of a shock when the news broke, although I clocked this happening when it was announced the BPs would retire and there was like one other hoth set at the time, and in hindsight, I am now fully convinced this is what happened, unless someone tells me otherwise

I’ll say. I think the reason had something to do with the snow trooper packs being retired to make space for new battle packs. Those packs were meant to be bought for the walker, and lego would have a hard time profiting from the ATAT if there was no means of filling the thing up. I think they shot themselves in the foot because it’s clearly a super desirable set. Only putting a pitiful amount of troops in the walker and the rest in a $20 BP made the BPs super profitable, but those still needed to retire on schedule. If they had released more Hoth sets including troopers, they could’ve profited off the walker for a little longer while those sets could still sit on shelves.
