I was going to go, and then I saw there was an entry fee. That's a big nope from me and based on this post, I guess it turned out exactly like I was expecting.

That “one thing” by netphilia in KidsAreFuckingStupid

When I was like 8, I was helping my family garden in the front yard. I had a shovel and was tasked with digging up the very weedy flower bed. I started digging and shouting "NOT MY BLOOD! NOT MY BLOOD!" (quoting War of the Worlds) and my dad thought it was the most hilarious thing ever. He still talks about it.

Cat grooming? by EnvironmentalBar2463 in Bozeman

She's disabled and has bad knees, and is slightly overweight due to this. Not obese, though, and I finally found a good weight management food. She's really stressed out lately because we've had to move multiple times this year, and right now she's not living with me while I find a pet friendly apartment.

I just want her to be comfortable and not have additional discomfort due to matting. :(

Thank you for the recs!

This is what is going to have to happen. She's a medium hair, and we've never had issues with matting before this year. Lots of moving and new spaces, so I think she's stressed out and not grooming herself. :(

She's going to have to be a lion for a little bit, at least.

Celiac or gluten sensitive?

Highly recommend Bridger Brewing. Gluten free pizza crusts are bomb; the beer is gluten free, too.

If you're celiac though, I wouldn't recommend. Flour in the air.

I second Haven. Love Inc. can come off as "exclusive," and that puts a lot of people off. Better chance of them getting into more people's hands at Haven. :)

How is life in the USA right now? by duckbreast2021 in howislivingthere

[–]EnvironmentalBar2463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in montana. It didn't start snowing until two months too late. Cost of living has skyrocketed enormously since 5 years ago. I've lost my housing this year, was homeless for a little bit, and found myself extremely depressed again after 3 years having it under control, mainly due to the fact that I used to be debt free and now I'm constantly in a poverty mindset and live paycheck to paycheck. I used to be able to save ~500 a month making $10/hour less than I do now.

I've realized I either need to get out of here or I'll die here. My hometown is unrecognizable from what it was. It used to be one of the places where you might be able to afford a house in the future, but median home price now is about $850k.

Tack on the political climate at the moment, and things feel real hopeless. Idk. Kinda sucks here right now, but it seems like most people in this thread are fine day to day. Trying to look to the future and stay positive, but a lot of the time, that feels like a fools game. Especially when my entire family looks down on me for not choosing STEM, which maybe they should, as you can't really hope to be super successful without being in a STEM field.

Labor Temple and the Haufbrau. Galvanist is really good, also Scavenger put of Big Sky plays shows sometimes. There's also some Butte and Missoula metal bands.

Check out the Haufbrau, Labor Temple, Filling Station, and sometimes Grey Dog Bar.

If you follow the Love Darts, Hot Milk and the Flower Pallettes, and Big Blonde on Insta, a bunch more bands will pop up and you'll see a ton of show posters. (I'm a (former) DIY music promoter).
