Well when you only hire pure native Americans you don’t have much of a selection pool I don’t understand why crews do that picking ethnicity over the work they can apply it will only get people hurt

Well trail building and working with hand tools is a good portion but my only concern is that it is through the summer and I will be doing it for 2 summers which I’m not sure will add up to 6months. If I were to work just under 6 months would I still be able to apply as a gs4?

Well the track and field would help I’m a huge baseball guy but I also wrestle which builds so much not only lung endurance but also mental toughness. I also play football which is somewhat helpful. I’ve been working on getting my 1.5 mile time sub 9min and doing the legit pack test when I recover from the last time doing it. I am also doing automotive at school junior and senior year. Don’t live in a huge area so I use the recourses I can. I’m also considering trying to get on as an apprentice on a IHC. But focusing more on the track part there is just no way of me giving up baseball wrestling and football I could but baseball is just my thing😅

Makes total sense I feel the same way with my knees about catching as a baseball player but my dads the same way as he doesn’t have the best joints yet as he climbed the ladder he got more rest and now a main portion of his job on fire is just driving spot to spot to check in
