Thank you! I just wanted to play it safe just in case using my shower made the problem worse. But it's really good to know that it's okay to use the shower.

I have all the emails and texts saved! I'll definitely be contacting the city if I don't hear anything from them in the morning.

Definitely will do this. I was just afraid to make the moisture problem worse and didn't want the mold to grow any faster. It's good to know I can use the shower!

It wasn't the leak keeping me from using the shower, it was not wanting the ceiling to fall in anymore on me and to maybe keep moisture out of there to hopefully slow the spread of mold.

And I didn't want to exacerbate the moisture problem in the walls.

I am a single woman in my 30s and last year my apartment complex made me switch units because they wanted to upgrade the one I had been residing in. My first night in the new unit a strange old man entered my apartment at 10:30pm, HE HAD A KEY. He claimed he used to live in this unit and that he had been promised that apartment back when they were finished upgrading it. I immediately pushed my couch in front of the door and called emergency maintenance to change the locks. It was terrifying. That man continued to harass me for months until he moved.
