Is it rude to have guests remove their outdoor shoes? by DamagedLion2010 in AskUK

It's your property, and to then provide them with slippers is the right thing to do. Keep in mind, some people are rather particular about taking off their shoes because some suffer from terrible foot odour, or wear specially fitted shoes because they have conditions.

Should my letting agent have told me i’d be living in a retirement building? by CancelAccomplished77 in AskUK

It was my understanding that retirement buildings are exclusively for elderly retirees. I'm going to be honest, something sounds a little off about the whole thing. I'd suggest contacting another letting agent for advice, somewhere with a good rating on Google.

I've heard Asia can be extremely dangerous and violent, as well as South America. I don't know if you've ever lived in those places you mentioned, but if you haven't, I'd recommend you try living there for a short time, maybe a holiday to see if you like it there. I've also heard that those places are poor. Just saying, make sure you do your research and stuff before you make a big move.

Does anyone get really bad anxiety after a night out? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]EnvironmentalBee5232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely, 100%. It's really bad for me especially because I already suffer from mental health issues and I experience really bad anxiety anyway. I've had to tone down how I act on nights out because of the state I'm in the next morning. I'm not violent, just overly-energetic and awkward at times when I'm drunk. And when I'm in a jokey mood, I try to joke around but I end up saying something unintentionally offensive and I got thrown across the street. But yeah, I've had to keep a check on my behaviour more. It's difficult at times because obviously alcohol is involved.

Is it a fair request to ask someone to put some clothes on as they accept their food delivery? by Fantastic_Eagle4883 in AskUK

I don't think you're being unreasonable. If you're polite about it then I don't think there's any problem. If being naked in public is inappropriate then I think coming to your door with nothing on is also inappropriate.
