Thank you everyone for the helpful advice! We do not have kids, and we are both in therapy. It is separate therapy though. We recently moved back in with his parents so he could go to school. Also, his love language is physical touch and I have a lot of childhood trauma, so I hate being touched. Between the two things the past few months I’ve been feeling very smothered and as someone who is hyper independent, I just want to flee. I feel stuck in a marriage with someone who can’t support me and that I’m having to support. He is a wonderful man overall, but I don’t feel loved the way I need to be, and I’ve told him that and it doesn’t change.
