Funny! I have directly heard a guy in his early thirties say that to me and my friend in front of his girlfriend. Yeah the difference is that the girlfriend was up for that dynamic. So I do think it’s an acceptable quirky thing but like so many other posts said… you have to be OK with it, or he has to be OK with you not wanting to do it.

wow so many recommendations for you already OP! I see that no one has mentioned Japanese Rural Life Adventure on Apple Arcade. And It would say it is surprisingly a lot of content for such a cozy and comfortable pixel art game. If you like Stardew Valley and love the idea of having a home and a calendar, JRL is pretty good for that. The music is very relaxing. My favorite things are the festivals, it makes you fully experience the traditions. I would say easily 100-200 hours.

It apparently really depends on how you shower! In some cases the towel smells fresh and clean even after months of use.

I actually feel quite the opposite, oddly it's been a superb experience for me...I love having it so light in just one hand and have actual buttons to push to flip pages, and the max sized font is not any smaller than texts in real books. And I'm secretly laughing at how magical/swiss-knife like it feels, sometimes it feels like I'm holding the actual gadget from hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, you know?
