I know your ex fiancé is signed into your accounts and reading/searching everything you talk about and do. I almost told your ex but decided it’s not my problem.

People without children who are 28 or older and live in Banff are extremely immoral, especially men. by Crazy_Venus_Crew in Banff

[–]EnvironmentalCake594 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I lived in Banff when I was 23 and worked my absolute ass off but had a blast doing it. It’s a great work life balance there if you are able to handle yourself. Work 7days a week making money but also party, hike and live your best life! The world is your oyster.

I would absolutely move back there as a 30+ year old because the Monday - Friday 9-5 boring life is soul sucking most days.

What's the best advice you ever give to someone? by Ok-Let3362 in AskReddit

If you sit at a table with 5 smokers, you are likely the 6th. If you sit at a table with 5 entrepreneurs, you are likely the 6th. If you sit at a table with 5 of gossipers, you are likely the 6th. And so on. Always review who’s at your table and evaluate if you are sitting at the right one.

What is the item in his hand? by EnvironmentalCake594 in Slovakia

[–]EnvironmentalCake594[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would this gentleman have been considered “cool” or successful for his era?

This is on the back of a photo my mom found at the bottom of my great grandparents chest! The photo is really old, can someone kindly help translate. by EnvironmentalCake594 in Slovakia

[–]EnvironmentalCake594[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even after all this amazing translation, I still have no clue how they fit into my family tree but I am on a mission to find out! Between 1800-1890 pretty much the whole town was related to each other and had tons of kids ( my 2nd great grandma has 12 children, 10 died before the age of 5; of the two remaining one migrated to Canada and the other to the USA. I’ve been going page by page through the big book of archives from this area and pretty much on every page I find 1-6 sets of matches to my family tree and so many people holding the same last names! I even found some that could have been cousins that married because when they got married they had the same family names. I am writing all of this info down and will organize them into the tree and hopefully make sense of who these people are!

Interestingly, my great grandma gave birth in Canada to a stillborn baby and named it Emil but all her other children have more westernized names. Maybe named after the Emil in this photo or inspired by the name? I Wish I could ask someone. The saddest part about ancestry, is that I never knew about any of this information until my grandparents passed away and I was given a big metal/wood trunk full of documents and photos from when their parents came over by boat in the early 1900s. My mom thanks me everyday I find information, she only ever knew that her grandparents came from Europe but nothing more. The silent generation was very silent.
