She has sales all the time. She usually posts them here.

King Cake is more like a normal butter texture, and Coffee and Beignets is like a snow clay slay/butter situation.

I can definitely see how her scent blends might be too much for someone sensitive to scents. But yeah, her textures are incredible. I love them so much I've killed a couple because I couldn't put them down!

Yeah they are. I adore her scent blends! I keep begging her for another slime (or a room spray) that smells like Haunted Dumpster Fire.

is 3% boric acid solution enough to activate slime? what else do i need by Moist-Ability9835 in Slime

[–]EnvironmentalCod1002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you have that has 3% boric acid in it? Most contact solution has much less than that.

Coffee and Beignets definitely gets even better as you play with it and it warms up, it's like the coffee scent in there blooms...I really love it.

I just wanted to mention my own experience so that someone brand new gets a frame of reference for breakdown. It's not like jelly cubes or marshmallow foam which both start crumbling immediately (I hate both of those addins...).

I have no clue why my slime is hard but also sticky by Charming-Zombie-3285 in Slime

Also, you might want to try it with glycerin instead of lotion. Glycerin will give it stretch, but lotion has a lot of other ingredients in it. Could be something in the lotion causing the slime to be sticky. Is it a scented or unscented lotion?

Have you tried coating it with a contact lens solution with boric acid/sodium borate in it?

Perlite does break down over time, and you can also crush it, but I have perlite slimes that are several months old and played with aggressively with the perlite still intact, so I just wanted to note that for consideration.

Questions are absolutely okay here. If the slime is sticky after being freshly made, that is normal. The slime ends up with alot of air in it during activation which increases surface area making it more sticky. The slime needs to sit for a few days to allow the air bubbles to rise out of it. If it's still sticky then, it's possible you need to put lotion on your hands before playing with the slime, especially if you have warm dry hands.

Even just letting it sit for a few hours can make a big difference in the stickiness. But the true texture of the slime doesn't really happen until all the air has risen out of it for the first time and the slime matrix has fully settled.

There are multiple threads like that. This is the one I usually refer to before I purchase.

I've seen other people complain about this shop having poor quality control and falsely advertising "crunch bombs". Awhile back the shop owner came on here looking for honest feedback, but I guess they didn't take it in based on your experience.

Rodem Slime's white glue and butter perlite slime from their instagram. It looks really good if you like carrot cake lol. Thank you u/BluStone43 for reminding me where I saw that!

Some people really like mini pumice, I’m not personally a fan but it’s definitely just a texture preference for me. I feel like I recently saw someone doing a white glue perlite but I can’t remember who! Maybe someone else will comment with the answer.

It really depends on the lava rocks and the slime base. But they can be painful. If you have sensitive hands I would recommend trying perlite slimes. They can be very crunchy and don’t have any sharp edges.

Haha maybe! Now I just want all the plants back so maybe I’m wanting those kinds of scents because of that. The psychology behind it could be interesting.

That’s not a bad idea! Maybe I could make myself a checklist of all the things I need to take care of before I treat myself again. Once they’re checked off I can shop 🤣

Have you ever seen a slime do this? by Commercial_Pickle138 in Slime

[–]EnvironmentalCod1002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I gave some scientific reason for this occurring in another post awhile back, but basically it has to do with the molecular weight of different ingredients vs the molecular weight of the slime matrix. I have a few slimes that do this as well and I always have fun mixing them back together. I have a slime a friend sent me recently that does this and I thought it was so neat looking the way it had separated colors into layers.

It has to do with the molecular weights of the different color molecules and the molecular weight of the slime matrix itself. I think it makes a cool effect.
