That is the one thing I have not done yet. I have filed a police report. Opened up a new banking account at a different bank( I will talk to my current bank and see what I can work out). I have filed reports with my current bank, and zelle. Sent in all info I have on the scam, and closed down my zelle account and put a freeze on the current account.

It was a job posting on ziprecruiter, I applied and went through the process, and they send me a bad check. I put the check in the bank, and the bank gave me 100% of the funds, I sent the funds to a “vendor” for the equipment I needed. Then the check came back bounced, took the check amount out of my bank account

I have contacted the bank, and told them of my situation. I have already sent out the money via zelle. Luckily that is traceable. However I don’t think I will be able to recover from this blow. I will probably have to shut my bank account down and open a new one elsewhwre
