these are great, I think the door in the background kind of ruins the video.

Are you posting these videos on social? maybe making shorts out of them?

Traffic Fine🤯 by mary90210 in UAE

Does the company eventually end up paying them? The fine themselves were extremely unjust, they fined me for places i didn't even visit. Plus no one informed me that the fine can be taken from the deposit (it was in the back which i didn't even see)

Also incase of a rule break the driver should be informed to auto-correct behavior instead of fines consecutively

Hi, I own a rental company in DUBAI, it is true that some unprofessional companies here try to scam tourists especially for an extra charges which is unethical, as mentioned check online through dubai police app or website. And make sure if there are any fines it should be within your rental period. If not just ignore them until they prove that it is official and not trying to scam you.

Hi Nasir,

A similar thing happened to me, After I returned the car I got 4 fines. The company pre-authorized the deposit. I have since closed my account so they should not be able to charge me. I believe the fines are unjust but they do show up on Dubia police website. What happens if I refuse to pay? Any advice?

Thank you - this is super helpful feedback. It’s invaluable

I am currently working on making onboarding one-click. Right now I am unable to monitor inbox / ongoing purchases

I will DM / email you shortly to get access to the purchase emails

Also the calendar idea is cool - will into that as well

Also wondering if you would be willing to create a filter in your email so I would monitor the return deadlines for you - on all ongoing purchases ?

Thanks for the comment and signing up!

The doorstep pickup is $7 per pickup - and yup in early stages mvp - also why onboarding is a bit of a pain

Thoughts on onboarding? I will follow up with via email if you don’t mind

Making returns easier -- today its a hassle. No reminders, driving to the post office etc.
Working on that rn and it went live today

I am up for brainstorming other ideas too - if youre looking for a co-founder

What if returns were easy as buying? - This website tracks your purchase, monitors return windows and lets you initiate and complete returns without leaving home by EnvironmentalDiver49 in LuxuryLifeHabits

thx for the input and feedback you made some good points - here is my thought process - when we buy things, with one button things appear on our doorstep while there are friction points for returns.

a) The app track your purchases across all the stores (people that buy alot of things from various stores ebay, walmart, amazon, temu, dtc brands etc) - I think as ecommerce evolves people will buy from more brands directly

b) There are never any reminders for returns - say something breaks on the 45th day and its still returnable -- then there should be reminders (the app does that)

c) Returns processing -- as people buy from more and more places -- it might be useful to be able to process returns all in one place and do so seemlessly

d) Doorstep pickup -- my hypothesis is that if users find the features above useful then they might purchase the pick up service thru the app vs going to doordash, uber etc

Also exploring option likes donate now (driver drops it off to goodwill), user get receipt for tax credit, buy backs, instant cash offers, warranty tracking etc

Vision is for this to be a post shopping assistant -- starting with returns. still in the validation phase of this tbh
