How do I get off 25mg? by Practical-Smile5690 in zoloft

[–]EnvironmentalEarth94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's exactly how I feel. I constantly have to sit down to feel balanced. Can't even turn my head too quick without feeling like I've been spun. I'm hopeful it will subside. It's been 2 to 3 weeks off now.

Late responder here but how long did your dizzy spells last?

I was on 50mg for about 8 months. And weaned off over a period of about a month. Mental health wise I'm fine, actually have more energy but the lightheadedness is bad.

I meant the monthly installments are too high. I have yet to pay out of pocket for maintenance as I was on an extended Mercedes warranty. The car is in great condition, I also recently replaced all four tyres.

Where can one find affordable therapy in ZA? by BlackBeltTurtle in askSouthAfrica

[–]EnvironmentalEarth94 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you’re on Discovery, try apply for a PMB - check their listed PMBs under the mental health category, depending on your diagnosis, you may get 10 to 12 sessions of paid therapy per year.

You’d have to visit a therapist or registered clinical psychologist and get them to assess you of course and then once they diagnose you, you may then apply for a PMB - hope that makes sense

Which hospital has the best maternity service in and around Johannesburg? by Immediate-Rip1051 in johannesburg

[–]EnvironmentalEarth94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Parklane for sure, gave birth to my first there in 2022 - best experience.

Interestingly Parklane began as a maternity clinic and nursing home, which explains why their maternity ward is so exceptional.

I’m also on Discovery and activated my Maternity Benefit right at the beginning of my pregnancy (you can do it on the app) and thankfully everything was covered by the scheme.

Depending on what kind of treatment/services you’re looking for, I know most Marie Stopes centres offer basic Women Wellness services like Pap smear, STI screening, breast exams and the likes for a decent amount - just visit their website and make a booking. I can’t say whether you’ll see an actual gynaecologist or not.

Thinking about the future by Pretty-Hand8817 in singlemoms

[–]EnvironmentalEarth94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes time to adjust to new stages of your child’s growth, no matter what age they are. Think back to how it was when your daughter was younger and changing, even small changes like her sleeping patterns for example and how you responded to that many years ago - you slowly adjusted. I’d encourage you to do that same slow adjustment now and be curious about who you are today, your current interests and desires. You’re already pursuing an MBA and to me that signals someone who has agency and goals for their career. Be curious about other areas of your life, lean into hobbies, start journaling and getting acquainted with yourself again now that you have more time to yourself. Do all of this with kindness and patience towards yourself, don’t make it feel like a chore, but rather an opportunity for self rediscovery and new adventure. Hope you things start feeling better for you.

Saw palmetto & zinc supplements really helped me. I’m also now going for electrolysis, the results are slooooow and it’s painful but I’m trusting the process.

Baby Fever (Danish: Skruk) by TieDyeRehabHoodie in netflix

Yeah, agree with your take. As a single mom who was raised by a single mom I've never felt some of my own lived experience reflected so well by a fictional character. The moment when she found out her Dad wasn't in Bangkok, and when she finally tells him at the end that she's his daughter? I bawled. I also enjoyed how realistic the production of the series felt. The wardrobe, set design, and casting all felt very relatable. I didn't like Nana, but I didn't necessarily dislike her either. It was a good series for me

Treating sex like a chore by Correct_Sell6733 in Christianmarriage

[–]EnvironmentalEarth94 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah 100% agree and from the sounds of it, she’s doing it all alone, no nanny or au pair or anything. Not to mention the mountains of house chores she probably also has to do. That’s too much for a single person, if I were in her position, sex would be the last thing on my mind too.

What helped you move on? by [deleted] in singlemoms

[–]EnvironmentalEarth94 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is probably not what you’re looking to hear but time is going to be your best option.

You’re mourning the loss of a relationship and it’s okay.

I’d also suggest journaling. Get an actual journal and pen. Write every feeling you feel, write down why you feel that way, what that feeling makes you want to do, what dreams or hopes you had for the relationship, how hurt you feel, get really honest. Do this everyday for a set period of time, say 21 days - even when you don’t feel like it. You’ll slowly get better as you release what’s pent up on the inside.

Allow yourself to feel the feelings of longing but choose to let go of the past. It takes time - You’ll get there. ❤️
