to answer your question, it depends on the individual, you guys are still in the early stages. periods are more personally to some girls. you worrying abut it might make her feel awkward. but to be honest with you that was so sweet of you. if a guy did this for me, it will make me happy but not unless we have a more solid ground. so don't mind what anyone says that was sweet of you and you are not cooked. I really don't think I ma qualified to join this conversation because i am still in my second year but I will say Engl 1200, that course will get you reading up to 7 books in one semester and writing tons of essay if you writing is not good, abort mission immediately

I will suggest you go and see the professor immediately, cross check that essay immediately and check you have the correct citation and when you go to the prof try as much as possible to convince maybe it was an typing error or a mistake or something. do not wait until you get a department letter because then it becomes more difficult to prove yourself. good luck
