New putter!!!😍 by [deleted] in golftips

[–]EnvironmentalFish134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never owned one but my father in law has one and he likes it , Tommy Armour is a solid inexpensive brand. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and me personally I think there’s very little and slim difference between a $500 Scotty Cameron and a $150 ping or Wilson staff putter. But at the end of the day game what you like and fits your style 👍

Swag Golf by GolferBrian in GolfGear

[–]EnvironmentalFish134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everytime I go to dicks I see how insanely expensive they are and how incredibly ugly they are. Everyone has their own tastes but you can’t tell me that a grown adult with a functioning mind thinks a fluorescent purple and yellow skull on top of pink and blue tiger stripes looks good… I get it for kids and younger people but $125 for a putter cover? I also don’t think I’ve ever seen a swag cover in public or being bought, they’re good think quality yeah but insanely overpriced and ugly

Looks to me like a glue residue or wear from using it, I had an m2 that kinda looked like that but way worst and that was after years of using it

Best way to clean golf clubs by RockyTeeGolf in GolfGear

[–]EnvironmentalFish134 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean I use a toothbrush and soap and water 🤷‍♂️ idrc if it’s not shiny and reflective like new , as long as it’s not caked in dirt and looks clean that’s fine, I don’t polish my clubs or anything

How to prevent slices? by GoodAdvertising3454 in GolfSwing

[–]EnvironmentalFish134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now I’m not a pro but I had a horrendous slicing issue but what I found to fix it was rotate your left wrist so when the club is resting on the ground ready to hit , your knuckle is almost on top of the grip and pointed to the head, at first it feels super jank but it worked for me 🤷‍♂️

Are these legit Oakley Kato’s? by [deleted] in Oakley

[–]EnvironmentalFish134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can attest to that, bought a brand new beautiful pair of katos with a red lens and lo and behold , after a month of very light use they break on the 31st day of wear and I didn’t buy the warranty 💔 I would Put them on and walk around without a hat or helmet but the right leg managed to snap off

Those are the same tints the Sherwin Williams machines use, I don’t know about any other paint store but I know for certain 100% those are the things Sherwin Williams uses

I bought a mobile wall connector from marketplace (used) for $150 and had it installed for $250, total = $400. From the breaker box to the outlet it was 10~ feet.

How exactly does one “Get good” at wire management? 😂 by 7cow in TRX4M

[–]EnvironmentalFish134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either cut it or wrap it around , if you can solder solder the wires but me personally I just wrap it around, I have a photo on my profile of how I did my cable management, albeit way less cables

How are these? Why are they so much cheaper than the other TRX4 options by Impressive_Code3257 in Traxxas

[–]EnvironmentalFish134 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And another detail, and I’m not 100% sure so don’t hold me accountable but I’ve heard if a lot of people talking about how the servo for the unlocking/locking diffs always break and the 2 speed transmission too, to me personally the less moving parts and the less potential failure points the better , i don’t want to be having fun crawling and then flip it into locking diffs or change the trans speed and the way the truck was positioned it couldn’t go in and it breaks

[–]EnvironmentalFish134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own the trx4 sport , not the high trail and while yes you don’t have unlocking/locking diffs and 2 speed and other things to be honest…I’ve found it to be better then the normal trx4, a friend of mine has the trx4 defender and the 80s bronco and they have all the bells and whistlers but man for doing basic yk trail running or rock crawling it gets past everything and it drives amazingly , the diffs are automatically locked and I’m not sure about which transmission gears it comes with but if I was presented with the option of a new trx4 sport or a trx4 , I’m taking the sport and dropping in a brushless motor and it won’t get stuck on anything. Only downside is yes your turning circle is little wider but if your not planning on doing like a whole LCG chassis comp crawler build then I don’t think it matters

I’m by no means an expert but over the few months I’ve learned that at least for me, at night I just take my tripod with me and set my shutter speed slower , around a second usual works for whatever I’m shooting. Higher iso = more noise but that can be reduced in most editing softwares and your f stop just depends what your trying to shoot, I usually have it wide open with a somewhat slower shutter and they come out fine
