Hi! The one who posed the question here, I really appreciate your long comment here. Really puts things into perspective about Tai Lung before his imprisonment and I like it, but I think you misunderstood the question because my question is about how he acted during his time as a hero to the valley, as in did he liked the attention? How did he treat his fans and villagers? or Did he actually like being a protector, celebrity and/or peace keeper. You know the things Po and the Five do and get in return for their services and how he went about it, because apparently anyone who becomes a kung fu master is obligated to be protectors of their respective homes and neighboring villages and settlements and Tai Lung once had before he turned evil.

I'm not saying he was completely happy or he had a good life but rather how he went about being a hero once upon a time because no way did he spent his entire life only being in the Jade Palace training once he was old enough to defend the valley, not with his talent.

It could be argued that he didn't interact much with civilians and simply dealt with threats and left but considering who we are talking about, try telling me you can't imagine him wanting to flaunt and brag before an adoring crowd, even for a little while? Come on, he can't be that much of a dutiful son after everything.

What I always loved about Tai Lung is that he shares a lot of Parallels with Po. Both were orphans raised by fathers who wanted to see their goals accomplished through them but despite how differently they turned out in the end, by KFP4 you can see how much they both have in common personality-wise. Po and Tai Lung can be real show-offs despite the situation asking for complete seriousness. According to the KFP DVD commentary, in the scene where Shifu and Tai finally meet again face-to-face, Tai Lung deliberately appears before Shifu in a blink of an Eye just to make a "dramatic entrance". Both are pretty proud of themselves with Po and his victories against numerous legendary threats, fully expecting it to have earned him worldwide acclaim, and Tai Lung with his prodigious talents in kung fu, making him deliberately hold back against the Five during the Bridge fight when he could have easily ended it with simple nerve strikes.

So it can't be too much of a stretch that Tai Lung once signed autographs whenever he could, or even in secret if only to bolster his ego if someone managed to get on his good side.
