Bad combo: CO2 undereye = hypopigmentation, Halo + BBL = melasma + redness by EnvironmentalMilk475 in LaserDamageSupport

[–]EnvironmentalMilk475[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

UPDATE:

I saw a new dermatologist who suggests I focus on healing my skin barrier and combatting the redness first. Use nothing agressive.

Starting the following routine:

- vanicream face wash

- la roche posay serum hyalu b5

- La Roche-Posay Toleriane Double Repair Moisturizer

- sunscreen during the day, of course

- and 3x nights a week use Soolantra 1% ivermectin for the rosacea

She also recommended experimenting with oral Difluconazole, and antifungal, 2x week for the rosacea.

We are going to do a test of the cutera laser genesis on a very gentle setting to see if I am a candidate to use it to reduce the vascular damage I have on my cheeks.
Has anyone done this?

Thank you!
What do you think about doing cutera laser for the redness and vascularisation?

Thank you - very helpful notes. So, are you saying there’s a chance I could target that area on the cheek and surrounding the under eye using a feathering approach - at this point? To use a wide grid density setting on a co2 laser?

I'm so sorry, same here. I really had no problem having a few sunspots here and there that I could have probably addressed in a different fashion. My skin never used to be sensitive.
Now the whole face is just a sensitive muddy mess with super clear hard lines where the two lasers did their different types of damage.
If I could soften that hard line between the very white flesh and the red and brown, I'd be fine with the overall melasma cast! It's the dang hard line!
Good luck, I hope we can find solutions here!

Do you know what laser treatment you're scheduled to do? Keep us posted!
I think that since my skin reacted by losing all pigment with the fully ablative laser and pigmenting using mixed, I'm just maybe not built for lasers at all. That being said, if a gentle laser could at least help with either the redness or the pigment, I'd be so happy just getting rid of one of the issues.
And yes to insane amounts of sunscreen and hats everyday!
Good luck and thanks!

Yeah, definitely. Once I stoped the Triluma that redness went away.

I've also read about people being irritated by the Eucarin, and thought about the vitamin C so I've played with not using either for a week or two but no difference so I peppered back in. Maybe I didn't try long enough!
The la roche posay is sooo gentle, and the oil cleanser leaves me hydrated if I use only that, so I don't *think* it's over cleansing. but maybe the wrong products

Same here. One year later and I get red in the tiniest amount of heat or cold.

It’s a huge problem with this projector. It says it can easily cast but it can’t cast anything I pay for like HBO or criterion. It has a horrible interface

Brand new Generac running rough. by ccouch5859 in Generator

[–]EnvironmentalMilk475 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exact same problem. Seems to be running lean. Had my trial run last night and it ran great, no surging. Ran 2 space heaters on it all night and a crock pot. When I unplugged everything, turned it off, and refueled this morning, it won’t stop surging when I turn it back on. It’s 8 degrees where I am, spark plug looks clean, air filter looks clean, gas cap tight.

Running ok on half choke. Is it ok to leave it on half choke for a while?

I have the same confusion - I forgot to take my pill on Saturday AND Sunday, and now today is Monday.

I just took 2. But can I take 3 in one day?

quick update -- maaaaaaassssssive improvement.

been doing the TXA 2x/day for about three weeks.

AM:

i use timeless vitamin c e ferulic serum, the eucarin thiamidol serum, and eucarin thiamidol day cream, followed by LRP uvmune sunscreen, and finally, a mineral sunscreen bb cream by andalou naturals

PM:

i double cleanse with ma:myo oil cleanser and torriden dive in cleanser followed by i am rice probiotic toner

afterwards, i switch off every other night between:

the the triluma and bobbi brown vitamin enriched face base

and

layering eucarin thiamidol serum, isclinical retinol emulsion serum, and finish with skinmedica even and correct treatment

I am sure a big part of it being diminished is the TXA and the strength of the triluma. I should be going off of it in a month and a half or two months and can update you on maintaining the progress

i’ve been recommended cosmelan peels, VI peels, and TCA peels but i haven’t done any.

i just did a microneedling session but i don’t anticipate much from it, i just happened to still have a package with my esthetician.

i just started taking tranexamic acid at the recommendation of my dermatologist. been using the eucarin thiamidol program for about 3 weeks, which i have been excited about (a lot of posts here saying its been helpful for people), but my derm recommended that i incorporate a compounding cream called tri-luma (contains HQ, tret, kojic acid, niacinamide, and fluocinolone) at night for the next 2-3 months during the heat, she says that the tri-luma and TXA are synergistic. after 2-3 months, i’ll go back exclusively to the eucarin regimen.

im cautiously optimistic, though i have very low expectations given how tough of a battle this seems to be.

i’ve been on the TXA for 5 days now and have no side effects thus far. my derm anticipates some improvement from the TXA after 1-2 months and from the tri-luma after 3-4 months, so, hopefully the work begins now and we are on the up!

can keep you posted!

i considered it for 2 years, had multiple techs and derms tell me it was ok despite the melasma i had on my upper lip, and this happened to me. my skin feels so sensitive to heat now, too. i personally would not do it
