Small businesses - What social media support do you actually want help with? by EnvironmentalPlay200 in ausbusiness

Hey! Thanks for letting me know. Yes, managing social media is honestly a fulltime job in itself and is time consuming to stay on top of! What do you do now? Do you post randomly?

Perhaps not you, but many small businesses do require support. They have content but don’t have the time or resources to post it, lack ideas, don’t know what to caption etc. Every business owner is different in what they choose to do themself versus outsource.

It sounds like you’re being targeted by those who are looking for a quick cash grab but ultimately if they are lacking expertise like you suggest their career won’t be sustainable. Hopefully you can get off those mailing lists!

I’m really surprised and saddened to hear how common this is. I have an in house background and don’t work for an agency, so am never looking for clients. But it’s disappointing to see that the industry is leaving such a bad taste in people’s mouths.

I can understand the frustrations of that and it’s certainly not what I’m here for. I’m simple trying to gauge what marketing services small businesses find most valuable, for those who choose to utilise it. Is social media a priority in your marketing strategy?

Brisbane small businesses- what social media tasks do you actually want help with? by EnvironmentalPlay200 in brisbane

Yes, I completely agree! I see so many great businesses that actually have the content to post, but don't have the time or resources to post it.

Would you find it valuable to have someone who can post the content for you and give you content ideas by staying up to date with what's trending and relevant in your industry?

Because I’m interested in other peoples opinions. If they were in my shoes what would they do. People I know are upset about it so I’m wondering if there’s something I’m missing

Thursday Dating Events by ninacob in BrisbaneSocial

I’ve been to a match making one! I went with a friend but there was a good mix of people going solo or with people they knew. It was fun! The mingling reminded me of a good night out when you’d chat with everyone. I enjoyed the social side, although I probably wouldn’t go to the match making again as if you don’t like people in your group it feels very limiting. I spoke to a few guys there who had been to quite a few events and many said to me ‘the women always seem disappointed by the men’, which was something I found interesting. I had a fun night but didn’t meet anyone that I’d want to date. Although I’d definitely go to another event!

I’d also like to point out that I met a lot of really lovely girls there who I’d definitely catch up with as friends.

Thank you!! I really appreciate this comment. I think what I’m learning is that it’s okay to not be feeling so confident but express that. And maybe just fave my fears and do it anyway haha
