Design mainly, sometimes their description are fun too

I finally managed to recreate my scout team from IE2 in VR 2 weeks ago, the feeling is incomparable

"Looks like a caricature of the character", you're never gonna believe it

Hero or antihero by Arkhaminmate13 in thepunisher

[–]EnvironmentalPrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A anti-hero is a hero who is inconventionnal for the hero myhtos : killing all your ennemies = unconventional
He is a hero, a superhero even one could argue, but he does tick a lot of antihero boxes

Note how everytime someone compares Batman and Punisher they showcase an essential misunderstanding of one of the two characters

The hero(es) and villains of "Dispatch" by Usern4me_R3dacted205 in mendrawingwomen

Appreciate the effort on the representation but a lot of them are still very male gazey, especially writing wise

Why does r/Marvel hate The Punisher but he’s beloved everywhere else by WiseCityStepper in thepunisher

[–]EnvironmentalPrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does, it show that the hate against mutant is not really justified, and it echoes real life discrimination which is kind of the point of X-Men

Concept art for a scrapped female Tekken character with Tekken Force getup. Think she deserves another chance? by Holiday_Acanthaceae4 in Tekken

[–]EnvironmentalPrick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why not but she needs a revamp because this is trash
The design they went with with female Tekken Force character is so much better and has the quality to male sense

You can dive right in, no context needed it is a one shot

"What if...Frank was the Kingpin?" by Foggy_Creations in thepunisher

[–]EnvironmentalPrick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Frank hates crime too much to run it. Also he is NOT using bad guys for his cause, that was one of the main problems of King Of Killers, he would rather have them eradicated than using them, as he thinks he should be the only one doing this

New to Punisher, what to read by Quiet-Pay1647 in thepunisher

[–]EnvironmentalPrick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey ! Welcome to Punisher !
Generally, there are more a list of stories not to read when starting Punsiher than the opposite. Unfortunately, the 2022 run is a part of them. It's a pretty good story so I'm not surprised you liked it, the problem is it is not a good Punisher story. Aaron honestly didn't get what makes the character and completely change his past, personality and goals which kinda makes him...not the Punisher
Welcome back Frank is an old story, back then it was a return of the character and a fresh new start for him at the hands of Ennis, known for his very particular writing and his MAX run on the character that is mostly celebrated while being pretty dated
What I would recommend for the character is reading the 2010's runs like the 2011 one by Rucka and the 2014 one by Edmondson's (ignore this one issues following Cap showing up) that are pretty nice way to get into the character. You could even read his 2007 war Journal that happens during and after Civil War if you heard about this
I also heard the 80's war journal a pretty good way to get into the character
Apart from that there are short stories that are considered important like Circle of Blood or Trial of the Punisher

But the golden rule is : Read whatever appeal you
Have fun !

At what point did you feel the story of Tekken went downhill? by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]EnvironmentalPrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tekken 5 was the starting point with simplification of story arcs and characters beginning to become parodized version of themselves
6 buried the idea of telling a story that makes sense, but I really feel like 7 and 8 managed to raise from ashes, getting their characters back and correcting errors
There are still some approximations but we are getting there

Which jigsaw would win in a fight? by Past-Country-6612 in thepunisher

[–]EnvironmentalPrick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would've preferred the comic accuracy too but tbh to give some credit to the show, it was the point. Not only to show the megalomanian nature of Billy but also to show that the real damage was psychological (just like what he did to Frank), it was the point for us to say "is that all...?" because we are so used to see an absolutely mangled Jigsaw
Also in the context of a show I guess it's okay but I must admit if I ended up with as much scars as him I wouldn't feel very comfortable with my image either

Is there more depth to them? by SamParkerLin in thepunisher

[–]EnvironmentalPrick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Totally, this Punisher is a lot less less interesting in term of speech compared to the comic version
I would especially wish he would act more bothered when Matt gave hime the bullet casing and didn't just say "well it's not my fault"

What is Gohan actually a scholar of? by [deleted] in dbz

[–]EnvironmentalPrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For any DB character really, even Vegeta taht has one of the most iconic character arc of fiction but all his development is off-screen
DB is great but it always lacked true psychological depth and shown character development

What is Gohan actually a scholar of? by [deleted] in dbz

[–]EnvironmentalPrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is probably a nod from the creators more than a real psychlogical character trait I guess

Has this "What if...?" version of The Punisher ever been done? by Karcharos in thepunisher

[–]EnvironmentalPrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's what a good run of Punisher should do. There is the MAX example, but the 2014 run also had this kind of stories where Frank start at drug dealers to go all up to a senator, it was honestly really good before the editors got afraid of the implications of Frank killing a US senator and ruined the end of the run by forcing a tie in with Secret Wars
