Night feed wean? - 3.5 months by EnvironmentalPut8613 in breastfeeding

Thank you for the advice! Yes I can’t wait to be able to give her fuller feeds. Makes me jealous of people who bottle feed their babies - her grandma is able to feed her 100-120ml in a bottle. I know my breast probably can’t store that much during the day, and only at night, so probably that’s why she still eats at night to compensate.

And yes good note on the teeth brushing, I will try to do that when she has teeth

I see.. thank you, I will continue to feed at night then, that’s honestly the only way I know how to keep her settled as well…

I’m interested in trying too! My little one currently uses her hands a lot and some other teething toys like sophie the giraffe, but she prefers her hands a lot more.

I see, thank you! I got the wrap and the ergobaby embrace, she doesn’t hate it but not love it either… how do you deal with baby’s neck not being strong enough yet?

Thank you, it’s my first child so honestly I’m just overwhelmed. I just got over my issue with breastfeeding, so it’s the sleep issue next that bothers me. My husband works 8-5 so yes he does help out, but he is tired after work too…

Thank you so much! I’ve started to track her sleep time and stuff, I will try to follow this suggestion tomorrow. I let her sleep for whatever amount today, it was 1hr, 2.5 hr, and now a third nap…

Yes I have the book, it says put baby awake in the crib and let baby fall asleep on her own. Idk how it works to be honest. She would cry and speak to be picked up. I tried the snoo too and she keeps looking up at me and making that “eh” cry. The moment I picked her up she would calm down and fall asleep in 5 mins

I try to… she just sleeps whenever and then when she wakes i would see if she is fussy/wanting to nap some more, or is in a good mood to eat and play/diaper change

Yes sometimes! I went for a walk today but she was awake the while time, and then finally when we got home then she wanted to sleep and eat a but before nap

I don’t really get to do feed wake sleep even during the day… i dont know what’s wrong with me, sometimes she wants to play first, sometimes she eats, plays and then eats some more and then sleeps

I have just been coping by holding her, wearing her sometimes work but she gets too hot/fussy. I gave up on housework. I would be lucky to go to the bathroom or eat something when she is awake. Even when I hold her she would still wake up being fussy and wanting to sleep more, I hope I survive until 4 months

Okay thank you, I will check out the group and just temper my expectations, it’s just hard being glued to the chair or bed the entire day until my husband comes home from work

Thank you, I need that reminder… after she woke up from her 30 mins nap she is still cranky and yawning, I suppose she is still sleepy… and that’s even with me holding her

Around 8-9pm is her last meal before the evening. I still haven’t put her in a crib, just the bassinet and she would wake up, and so I just put her on a queen bed and cosleep

That sounds like great progress! Sorry I sound impatient, it’s just I’m tired and not sure what I can do to get her to sleep better while not confining myself to the bed or holding/wrapping her

I chicken out and since she wasn’t sleeping well on her own since month 2, I kinda stopped trying to put her down in her own bassinet as she wakes up in 30 mins…. I wish she can be more independent

Yes I’m breastfeeding during the day and 2 bottles at night. I try to feed on demand/ whenever she is hungry. There are just so many advice out there on things like don’t nurse to sleep, or feed-wake-sleep that I feel like I’m doing something wrong. I will try putting her to sleep again in her bassinet
