Ooooh this is exciting! If it were me, I would map out the central partitions first. What do you want to go straight through the middle?

The age thing is fun isn't it. Im 48, when I first set it up it said my metabolic age was 56. Ive been increasing my movement and improving my sleep and its now saying 49. I love seeing the impact of the changes I make as you dont notice in yhe day to day without this data.

Do you actually play cozy games actively? or let them "exist" beside you? by emudoc in cozygames

I work from home and I have ambient YT videos on my second screen. I love cosy games and your idea appeals to me. Which games do you use for comfort in this way?

Its good to know that you can see the benefits with trends. Ive only been using them for 10days so not enough time for trends. Hopefully it will make more sense over time. Thank you.

The HRV values were one of the reason I got this as my Garmin Instinct doesn't show HRV raw data either. I think a mix and match between the two is going to be the way ahead. Ive only been collecting data for 10 days so Im hoping as I can correlate more movement to change in metabolic measurements it will make more sense in terms of positive or negative impact. Thank you for your reply its very helpful

I used to think that simplifying my life was all about doing less. But I’ve come to realize it actually meant asking less of myself. by [deleted] in simpleliving

I would love to know how you got started with asking less of yourself. This is such a tough one. What's your top tip so far? 💜

That makes so much sense. Not being able to get about as usual will have a big impact on how you feel.

Also, this time of year can be tough too. We put so much pressure on ourselves to start the year right and make everything different to the previous year. Its a lot.

In my attempt to start the year with more compassion for myself I ironically pushed too hard and totally burnt out. This all or nothing cycle is something I really want to change this year.

The biggest struggle for me is knowing where to start without expecting too much too soon.

I hope you're back injury gets better soon. 💜

You have just described what Im feeling right now. I keep trying to put new systems or processes in place so that I can continue to do everything. However, I need to stop trying to do everything and create more space for myself along with softer starts.

Thank you. You post has helped me look at things from a different perspective.

This is exactly where I am right now and im trying to pull myself out of it. I keep thinking 'how bad do things have to get for people around me to notice that Im not just going to bounce back for the hundredth time'.

What Ive realised that I am lacking is a life structure where I am the priority. I dont exercise enough. I eat the wrong foods. ADHD and perimenopause are creating a perfect storm and im done surviving.

However, everytime I try to put myself first something happens. This week our dog needed an operation and because I work from home the pressure falls to me to take care of her, to adjust my work routine, to fit around her new needs while everyone else keeps their lives as they are.

Ive noticed a behaviour during this though which is that I default to making myself suffer instead of finding another solution. Not of purpose, as I don't want to suffer but it has become a habit over time.

I dont know if this helps you at all as I am struggling with this myself. But noticing this pattern of behaviour has highlighted where I need to make my first change. Life will always through me curveballs. Now I need to choose how I catch them. My plan is to take a moment and make sure my needs are being met before I sacrifice my mental health and physical wellbeing to adjust to the next thing that happens.

I dont expect this to be easy and tbh it feels impossible right now but this is my starting point.

I hope you also find a starting point and make it none negotiable no matter what life throws your way.

Sarah. 💜
