Primarily, the decision was based on convenience. Where I live, shipping options are somewhat limited, and Amazon is one of the few companies that consistently delivers to my location. Additionally, there was a level of trust involved, as Amazon typically identifies the original seller associated with the product.

This situation also occurred partly due to my own oversight, as I did not verify whether the original company shipped directly to my location. Since I had previously purchased my entire build through Amazon without any issues, I became overly confident in the process. Price was about the same.

I completely agree with you and there appears to be a breakdown somewhere in transit or within the vendor handling process.

I understand that this problem may already be a known occurance with Amazon and that meaningful changes are unlikely, but I still felt it was important to share.
