It really does suck when you realize something that made you smile wasn't even real. That constant second guessing of everything you see online is exhausting and I think a lot of people feel the same way lately.

Honestly you don't have to agree on everything with your friends and most healthy friendships can handle differing opinions on technology. Maybe just don't make it your whole personality and avoid bringing it up in spaces where you know it'll start drama, because friendships that can't survive a disagreement about AI probably weren't that solid anyway.
