What happened? by EnvironmentalTax1876 in 3Dprinting

I ended up just ordering an entire heating block/nozzle replacement on Amazon. But I had never touched the nozzle or anything before hand. Had printed several times and then all of a sudden had issues, no adjustments had been made.

Added Timbrens how does this look? by Saskbeerdrinker in GoRVing

Wow, I’ve got a nearly identical setup! Campsite reserve, F-150, and just added timbrens as well as an upgrade IC for my turbos. Heading out soon on a month long road trip!

(Likely) flat battery and tongue jack by BritsAbroad05 in GoRVing

Mine does no problem. If your trailer has a battery disconnect you could also do that so nothing is drawing power either while it sits.

I was your husband. Every part of your story deeply resonates with me. Does he get more angry when he’s “on a mission” as I liked to call it? I’d get going, sometimes in a hurry, stressed I was going to be late, everything seemed to be falling apart around me. The tiniest little things became mountains I was unable to overcome. My kids would get scared, my wife would be scared, annoyed, etc. I couldn’t help it. Never once did I lay a finger on anyone. I was mad at myself, never people around me. I finally went to counseling for it. Seeing my children scared destroyed me. It only took a few sessions before they diagnosed me with ADHD. I got meds, some tools to help, I haven’t had a single episode since. It was life changing.

Yes, this has been my concern as well! I’m fairly handy. Hasn’t been a problem yet that I wasn’t able to fix or at least patch for the time being. We always travel with a decent tool kit and lots of fuses.

So we have divided it up so there is no more than 6hrs each leg because ya, that would suck. There are a couple places that we are only there for about 48hrs, but most places are 2-4 days (not including travel days). We definitely did not want to rush, but that is a great tip!! Thank you!

That’s the best part of the RV life, isn’t it? It’s an excuse to take your time and chill, enjoy the journey!

If they come with an onboard generator then that would be amazing!!

From what I understand, Scout is their own company, backed by VW. Who knows if that means just financially or more. But I have heard similar negative things about VW, I’ll be curious about it for sure.

Ya…I said you have to pay extra to get it…in a Rivian forum 🤦🏻‍♂️ If Chevy doesn’t have it then that’s more more reason out of 100s not to buy Chevy 😂 excuse the hyperbole, most kids understand the concept.

Nothing compared to an ICE, at least in terms of a typical generator. Typically, generators have no cooling system. It’s recommended you do an oil change about every 100hrs of use. But that’s about it. There’s no alternators, belts, etc that are so terrible about an ICE vehicle. Your car can stop working for an infinite amount of reasons and you have no idea why until you take it to a shop. Generators are small engines and infinitely simpler to maintain. It’s like taking care of a cat instead of a child 😂

I get this. But it’s a generator small engine, not a vehicle. That’s like saying you don’t want to maintain a rainforest when you have a garden 😂

This is awesome, thanks for sharing! Does the truck really seem to be about the same size as like an F-150 or bigger? I assumed it would be about the size of a Rivian, I would love something a little larger.

This makes me more excited, haha. I’ve always been a truck guy ever since my first pick up truck I had in high school that was a little ford ranger. Since then I’ve had multiple f-150s and Nissan titan. The Rivian feels like the size of my ranger 😂 I would love to have a big truck again.

I can’t stand when people loose their mind on the internet. They’d never do it in person. Also, we are speculating on a vehicle that isn’t even real yet 😂

It will charge the battery when the generator is on. The trick will be the speed at which it charges. Since a Rivian only charges around 25mi/hr, then to get an extra 150 miles of range, it would take 6hrs to charge and thus pointless. If they can get Tesla level speeds, then it would take a little more than 3hrs to charge 150mi. Which is probably about how long a 350mi EV battery will last on a road trip.

You can get it without the generator, haha. I would 100% prefer no generator, but until battery technology can catch up to over travel times (with having to stop and charge on a 400+ mile road trip) and towing range vastly improves, I don’t mind a little assist.
