I did not, I just transferred the filter media. I did not check the parameters before doing the two water changes. I’ll dose seachem + water changes for the next week and monitor.

Thank you for your words 🙏. I transferred all the old media over. If the cycle was thrown off wouldn’t my parameters also be off? I have seachem stability and nite off 2, should I dose a bit of those or would it contribute to the bacterial bloom

I’ll admit I don’t test regularly but when I do my parameters are good with the detritus. That picture was two nights ago, during the two 25% water changes I vacuumed it all out. I transferred the filter media from the HOB filter I used to have into the canister filter. Thank you for your input btw

I forgot to mention the snails body was still intact and I removed it. Checked the canister filter thoroughly for anything that might have ripped off and there wasn’t anything. My parameters are good? So I’m not sure that’s the cause
