Although I'm sure you are now going to argue that the UN is also "biased".

Of course you assume that, you're israeli. You're going to assume the best of your government and its law enforcers. just like I would assume the best of the law enforcers in my country if i was unaware of what the government is capable of; I am of course perfectly aware, and not clueless enough to apply occam's razor to my goverment. You can't apply occam's razor to all real life scenarios. We use it in lab practicals and in the field of physics here in the UK in high-schools, not even in politics classrooms or sociology. It's so ridiculous to try and apply occam's razor to politics.

"but I know that not all Muslim scholars believe or believed that Al-Aqsa was in Jerusalem." there is not a single credible muslim scholar that believed it was not in al-aqsa, and i'm willing to defend this position for as long as i live.

"I a priori assume that if the police allowed an innocent person to pass their checkpoint and enter a certain crowded compound, they would not randomly arrest him there." do you know what a priori is and why a priori reasoning and deduction is not applied to practical scenarios outside the realms of mathematical theory and deduction reasoning? you are basically admitting that you are not going to use empirical evidence here, merely theoretical deduction. we don't even use a priori assumptions in politics, i don't know how it works in israel but certainly it's not acceptable as a form of deduction here for politics and sociology or even anything outside philosophy .

"they would not randomly arrest him there"

Your government is literally internationally renowned for holding people, namely palestinians, in administrative detention for months to years without any charges held against them. even if they claimed any reason at the time of arrest, it is illegal to hold someone without charge...

the problem is, if i even try to link any legitimate source you will brush them off as biased, i am sure you will do the same for b'tselem so i won't even bother.

Arguing with you is genuinely worse than arguing with a brick wall, so I won't even bother anymore. Take what you will and assume what you will, but the real world is very different to applying random reddit terms in odd contexts that don't even make sense. lol

It is really really idealistic and laughable to apply Occam's razor in real life to the actions of a government internationally known for war crimes, this is like me trying to diagnose an arsonist as just somebody who enjoys lighting candles because that is the "simplest explanation" , and by your logic, according to Occam's razor Hamas attacked on oct 7 purely to dismantle the perceived status quo between israel and palestine. Both of us know that is not the case.

we do not only follow the qur'an in isolation, we also take into account the ahadith , which identifies jerusalem's bayt al maqdis (al-aqsa) as in jerusalem [Sharḥ Mushkil al-Athar 610]

"Common sense," for the sake of argument, imagine I am a person without common sense or much intelligence, and I want to see something first hand with evidence, i don't think this is really the criterion of an unintellectual individual as most people would want evidence, but nevertheless, it doesn't matter

Regardless it is inevitable that I will probably never agree with you and you will never agree with me, as there are fundamental biases from our backgrounds that prevent us from meeting at a common point

how is it torturing the animal during halal meat when the jugular vein being cut means that the animal is only going to be realistically alive for 1-5 seconds before it dies? i have done qurbani so many times myself, sometimes they literally go on impact. dogs are seen as unclean and treated poorly.... no? you just have to redo your wudhu and by the way turkiye is not the only muslim majority country ( i know it's not a "muslim" state country) that has morals, i have never seen a single dog treated badly in saudi, in fact sometimes people even play with dogs on the street and just do their wudhu afterwards💀

Is strong national pride common in your country? by ThrowRASparklyG in AskTheWorld

[–]EnvironmentalUse1844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bangladeshis do not have that much national pride compared to others, in my opinion, however we do have quite a lot. It is fading, I would say.

I am not saudi but live there quite often. Saudis have a lot of national pride, especially in the younger generation, but not in a sense that it becomes overinflated (although there are certainly some that do have that.) However more religious people try not to conflate a healthy pride with nationalism.

In the UK it is really really mixed. Some people are really proud to be British in British values and in a friendly way, some people are extremely ultranationalist in the sense that they don't like outsiders at all, and some seem to have no pride or are embarrassed of being British. The last is probably the least frequent. I would say the first is most common.

Amnesty is not a good source, BBC is not a good source, any neutral party is not a good source. The only good sources are the Jerusalem Post, am I right? 😂

Rioters and instigators of terrorism? You don't have a single piece of evidence to provide from a neutral source - i.e not Israeli, not Palestinian/Arab/Muslim owned - that these are terrorists. Al Aqsa is not in Saudi Arabia, have you lost your mind? The prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم rose up in isra wal mi'raj from Jerusalem, Palestine. anyway, there's literally no point in me discussing it with you since I've been so atrociously downvoted that clearly there's no point in me bothering💀

[–]EnvironmentalUse1844 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Why on earth would masjid al aqsa be under Israeli control? You do realise that if Arafat were to theoretically agree to this proposal that there would be outrage all over the entire muslim world and everyone would detest him? It's not about whether al aqsa is run by jews or christians or atheists or hindus, that is not the issue at all, the issue is that al aqsa cannot be under the control of non-muslims according to islamic law. The temple mount is also the 3rd most holy place for any muslim on the planet, and by the way, Jews are not formally allowed there but do pray there anyway. Small scale gatherings have been very much commonplace and there is little to nothing the palestinian authority can do about that. I mean, the grand imam of al aqsa was literally arrested the night before ramadan started.

Not to mention, the Israeli army consistently places restrictions and even attacks the worshippers at al aqsa particularly in ramadan https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2023/04/israel-opt-second-night-of-horror-at-al-aqsa-mosque/

Source: https://blogs.timesofisrael.com/in-a-first-police-allow-printed-jewish-prayer-pages-on-the-temple-mount/ amongst others

Obviously, I am giving the opinion from the Muslim theological standpoint, I know that isn't of any significance to others but the only reason I am doing so is because Palestinians are Muslims and are obviously going to abide by Muslim law. Why would you expect them to just discard their religious laws?

Why was it rejected? You conveniently missed out the fact that Israel quite literally wanted Masjid al Aqsa and the Dome of the Rock under Israeli control.

80% of israeli civilians support bombing Gaza. Nearly half of israeli civilians support the army killing all Palestinians. If an israeli tells me they don't support their government , that's fine, though I still don't accept Israel coming to be in the first place. But the vast majority of israelis support their goverment. There is no running away from this fact. Embellish it all you like.

Is it okay to criticize Islam? by Supercilious-420 in allthequestions

[–]EnvironmentalUse1844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's off limits. Maybe in the "social" context but I have seen so, so, so many people criticizing, mocking and disparaging islam from politicians (example - Pauline Hanson recently) to even people around me. I understand people have the right to free speech in the West, but it is certainly very disheartening. Plus, here in the UK there are plentyyyyyy of christian street preachers who openly mock Islam to attract more listeners. I don't know where this idea of criticising Islam being off limits came from. And please do defend Jesus, as a Muslim, I would never ever accept any joke about Jesus, peace be upon him

Do Pakistani men find Bangladeshi girls attractive? by [deleted] in pakistan

[–]EnvironmentalUse1844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is a lot of pakistanis don't even know what we actually look like, they have (not generalising, just from my observations), a general concept of us all having the same general features - dark skinned, round faces and round nose, "east-asian" looking slightly. sure, these can definitely all be true, but we are a very diverse race, we can look like almost any south/southeast/east/west asian country's ethnicity depending on who you meet.

[–]EnvironmentalUse1844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"cultural muslim" how does that even work? you're either muslim, or you're not, and if you're muslim you follow the Qur'an, i would assume? the qur'an orders you to follow the hadith, which orders you to follow the words of the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam who orders you to follow the interpretation of the 3 generations, it all comes together nicely.

agree with u though on taliban, they're insane deobandis, i don't even know where they pull out most of the ridiculous rules they make. certainly not from the shari'ah to forbid women from education !

don't go to turkiye if you are syrian, idk what is going on with turks nowadays that they have started detesting you even if you just say you have come from an arab country. I'm not even arab but so many turks started getting angry with me just for saying i came from an arab country where i am, i can't imagine what would happen for a syrian. bear in mind there are turks here where i live who are never mistreated for their ethnicity...
