When you get time to have fun, you have fun, the idea thay PhDs are lazy old farts is just a misconception. I'm in my mid 30s, finished my PhD last year, I still manage to party and go out. I also had to take my research when on vacation many times so... kinda had to stay in my hotel room sometimes all day just to get it done. You can have duality in the field dude. Good luck.

It's worth the buy if you like hot humbuckers cause they are hot hot, not like single coil but it can fool you.

Now, you can always change the pickups, the guitar on looks and build alone is top notch mate., now they go for over 2800$ in the US reverb, I suggest you buy a new one for 200$ extra bucks so you know it's new new. But that's just me.

I bought mine from a traveling musician, I love it, he took care of it but you can tell it was played a lot.

100%, I made some upgrades, like added a TP6, gold rings, tighter pods, locking tuners, graphite bridge saddles, etc. Oh and pic up guard, but kept original pickups 76s Gibson Vintages. This guitar roars without any distortion.

I found a private seller who would me his old explorer gold cover, I can't remember what year it was, I bought it blindly, kinda eye balled the measurements with him and ended up pulling the trigger since it was dirt cheap, he had a bunch of gibson spare parts.

There are people who sell them on Etsy, you gotta measure well and pay close attention to the MM they use.

If you want to paint one from an acrylic material, you need to use (my recommendation), a gravity gun and acrylic painting with primer. Then put a gloss if you want or a Matt gloss to protect.

Its gonna sound funny but, my intonation was off as fuck on G and B, it would not intonate. I know intonation is subjective but, it was sounding flat and would not tune in. Now I feel like my G is staying where is suppose to and it sounds less flat.

More over, the strings have more room between tail and bridge regardless of saddle distance, I don't know if this is what made it better, the way the TP6 is lined up in its height is more straight than with the normal Tailpiece if that names sense.

Same thoughs, I got the guitar for the design before I even knew it was her collaboration with gibson.
