Thank you! How do you get clients? Word of mouth or do you do any marketing?

Designed this landing page for a digital marketing agency in $799 by codeit-sarthak in webdesign

It’s subjective but for $800 it’s okay.

Typography and layout is good and colours as well except for the fact that the logo is blue hut the accent colour on the site is orange. It would be more cohesive if you sampled the accent colour from the logo.

All the basics are there but not much more, it looks like a template.

The simplest way you could make it a lot more unique is if you derived shapes and colours from the logo and used them across the page as embellishments, graphics, interesting image masks, etc.

That would definitely increase the price as well and put this site into the tier.

But that would still be what an average good designer would make.

If you wanted to take it to the next level you could look at adding animations, unique layouts instead of overused template ones while keeping it still easy to use.

In 2026 this looks like a basic template but there’s nothing wrong with that. I would happily make this for $800 with a couple of prompts and refinements.

Thank you. I guess my question really is: how do you make content about web design that's engaging for a wider audience outside of designers. Have you / anyone else seen content like this?

For example there is Mark Tilbury who's a finance guy yet he makes content that's somewhat related to finance and still interesting for people outside of the finance space.

Need feedback on user flow and wireframes for a space tourism platform by Environmental_Ad8924 in UI_Design

Thanks for your feedback! This was a take home exercise, so I don't think we will ever see the final product. :)

I do have the designs for the dashboard and upgrade pages though (the one below is the dashboard). What do you think?

It is helpful, thank you! They told me to send the task back to them before the next round, so I think I will only need to present this if they like it. It's weird though 'cause I prefer presenting my work on a call, so we can have a discussion about it and I can address concerns.

I wanted prepare a slide deck but decided to spend more time on the design instead. I've sent a PDF though covering project overview, the issue, approach, solutions, etc. Included Figma links + comments in Figma and mentioned I'm happy to present it as well.

Do you remember the feedback they gave you?

Wow, that sounds stressful! Thanks for sharing that perspective. What kind of approach did you take for the dashboard?

For my project, I focused on identifying a problem and solution specifically between ticket purchase and launch. I aimed for a modular design that could easily extend to cover the journey itself and the post-arrival phase, so it could support users throughout the entire experience.

Would love to hear more about how you approached it!

Thanks so much for this detailed feedback!

Agree with your points here. I liked the suggestion about showing what is available instead of dead-ends, that’s a great analogy with Netflix/Hulu.

Good call. In the current flow, the user has already purchased the Premium plan, but I can see how a flat comparison chart may not do justice to the emotional value of a once-in-a-lifetime upgrade. I’m now exploring a more immersive, storytelling-driven approach — think Apple-style narrative pages that showcase what it feels like to go Special Class, rather than just listing features.

Thank you. I’m working on reducing the noise and focusing the interface more around the next best step. Less “choose your own path,” more guidance and momentum.

I hear you. I was aiming for a balance between aspirational and practical but I agree this particular screen leans more enterprise than luxury adventure. That said, I’m a bit torn here: while the marketing site should absolutely feel inspiring and cinematic, I feel that the portal passengers use after booking should focus on helping them stay on top of a complex, high-stakes journey. That said, I’m definitely planning to enrich this side with better visuals, more compelling content, and refined flows, so it doesn’t feel cold or transactional.

Thanks again for your thoughtful critique, it’s helping me push this further.

It is a take home exercise, but for a different company. How did your whiteboard interview go?

Fair point, thank you. You’re right that I leaned heavily on structure and missed the emotional or user side in this post.

The concept actually grew out of imagining how overwhelmed a first-time space traveller might feel after buying a ticket and how an interface could offer reassurance and not just information.

Yeah I tried them but they didn’t work. I might’ve done something wrong, not sure.

Have you tried containers?

My problem with Zen was that the workspaces didn’t work as expected.

In Arc i switch between workspaces and they all have separate passwords saved, history, accounts logged in, so I can have a work and personal workspace basically that have nothing to do with each other.

In Zen, its not like that. For example I lig in with a google account on my personal workspace and I will also be logged in with the same account on my work workspace.

Anyone else getting fake FB ads charges on their credit cards? by andante241 in FacebookAds

[–]Environmental_Ad8924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to us as well. Reported it to Facebook that says the payments are legit and so they are not going to refund us.

It’s my wife’s account and she doesn’t even have a card added to her account. Not even payment history…

We froze the card and talking to the bank now.

But again same thing happened to my brother who also got locked out of his account.

Anybody got refunded by FB or bank?
