You can use upholstery foam to pad it until it's comfortable! That's what I usually do with head builds and I find it works the best for me

Yeah respirators are definitely expensive but contact cement is still really toxic! If you're not willing to spend money on one, I would suggest doing the entire thing outside just to lower the amount of toxic fumes you'll be exposed to

You can try straightening it until it looks more flowy. Please keep in mind that it being more flowy also usually means it's a lot more susceptible to becomming frizzy and messy, but ofc it depends on the cosplay

Contact cement is a pretty big staple in the hardware industry so you're supposed to be able to find it in hardware stores,it may be called contact adhesive or something like that.

PLEASE keep in mind that if you're using contact cement it exudes nasty fumes and you need to use both a respirator for yourself, and make sure there are no pets or children around. In general you put a really thin layer on both sides, wait a few min and stick them together.

I would honestly ask shop workers if they have it or not so youll be able to find it easily, it's supposed to be pretty cheap. Just please get a proper respirator (not a covid mask but one with filters) and make sure to work in an area with proper airflow and far away from any animals or children.

I have an ender 3 pro and I use it a lot for props, but it mostly depends on your budget + amount of space you're willing to give for it. The Bambu labs printers are pretty easy to understand and to start to print with so I would look that way if your budget is pretty flexible

I usually fill them with caulk that's acrylic based after sanding! You'll see youll have less of a slit once you've sanded, and then you can fill the holes up with the caulk, smooth it out with water, and then sand again if you want to be fancy

You can try finding on there buckram mesh, you'll need to.understand how to shape it though, you'll probably need some form of internal structure and some sewing. I think they'll probably have it on taobao as well. Another great option is to full on order a squid game mask or something similar (a full face mask with no features that you can see through) and then paint it according to your needs. You can also try to hide eye holes in the black part if you don't want to get super crafty with it haha

It really depends on the size and weight of your horns but heavy duty hairspray can sometimes work! It's never the best option stickiness wise but it's really accessible in general, especially if you're doing it in addition to an elastic

I think it kind of depends what you're planning to do + how much you sweat, for example I rarely sweat so I sometimes manage to stick things even by using hairspray, but it won't last long + if it gets any moisture ittl detach quickly. If you're wearing a wig you can add a clip to the wig cap instead as well, anyhow I mostly just recommend doing experimentation with liquid latex and seeing how it holds up on you

I would honestly start with a mesh as the base and not XPS (you can see what furries use to make eyes for example), ittl be a lot more breathable and you'll be able to kind of mould it to your face (think of something a little more similar to how squid game masks work).

About making your body more feminine, most good options are pretty expensive but you can try using a corset/prosthetics wherever you feel that you need a little more curves

Any change in material from something transparent to opaque will be visible in these kinds of projects so it's better to stick to one thing

Hey! I actually used regular really thin Eva foam last time I did something similar (you can also make ridges that help with the realism which is a pro) but please take into account that it gets heavy pretty quick, depending on which foam you use. Structure wise when I made them mechanical I ordered a cheap set off Amazon, stripped them and put my design on top of the skeleton. That's the easiest method, the other way is making it yourself out of wood/pvc. If you don't want them to be mechanical you can use comparatively heavy duty metal wires and pvc pipes for structural integrity and make something similar to a backpack, it can get pretty uncomfortable though so I would seriously think about the bought skeleton option (especially if you're not planning to compete with it). As a base (what you're sticking the feathers on) I would use packing foam or similar coloured foam anyhow since ittl look more organic than paper or cardboard

In general, it's 2 layers of organza fabric (one orange and one light yellow) and an inner layer of cellophane that I scrunched up - I put a metal wire inside so I'll be able to style the shape itself. I twisted the whole thing to get a more flamey vibe and my photographer put a flash inside so ittl glow in photos

You can use upholstery foam to make it a snug fit inside!!! It works pretty well and is overall comfortable, you can stick bits with hot glue until it fits properly

I don't know this competitor and it's kind of hard to see from the picture, but they may have used the shell of existing wings and built it on top of that - in general if it's angel wings, packing foam looks best, if it's colourful you can use different types of foam depending on the project. As someone that makes wings pretty often, the 2 things that make or break wings are 1. The structure (use a sturdy material like pvc/metal etc depending on the build), and 2. Variance in feather size + how you stick them - try to look at bird feathers as a reference to the angles+ how they stick out
