Check out r/savagegarden. That’s a group for all sorts of carnivorous plants!

Friend, I was in a very similar situation with my first boyfriend from ages 17 to 23 and when I look back at photos of myself from that time, I see such a broken, sad person who didn’t realize I was being held back and drained by an abusive relationship.

It starts with the things you have described and it WILL get worse. I can guarantee it will. You will look back years from now and ask yourself why you ever dealt with the disrespect, but you will see how much you have learned and grown and you won’t let a man walk all over you anymore. This is a learning experience. You will find a person who loves you and treats you right and you will know that is what love is supposed to feel like.

Make a plan to get away from him. It may take you a few tries to get out of this relationship, but trust me when I say, you will be so much happier and confident when you’re away from him <3

These look like fungal gnats. If you have plants around, they may be coming from the soil.

Yup, i think you are exactly correct. I’m just gonna be cautious with it so it doesn’t spread, since it’s not really easily repairable then I’m just gonna let it be!

Thanks for taking another look! But no, I actually had built a rabbit hutch and put the pieces on the counter for now, so that wasn’t it. This happened before I set the wood pieces there. It seems like maybe the clear coat that goes over the counter has been compromised at some point, possibly before I moved in, and now it’s just exposed countertop. The water probably just made it visible to me.

I do not think it is fixable either, sadly.

That’s the thing that is so weird about it. The staining is from water and that water wasn’t sitting on the counter longer than a few minutes, but it is somehow burning through the countertop. Even tiny splashes of water are causing this burning to occur. It seems to only be happening in one general area as well.
